SaSe is my favorite player but I really don't think he has much of a chance at this. Only consolation is that puma has king of been slumping recently, losing to ddoro, alecia and some other guys I expected him to beat.
|
SaSe, PvT is no problem :D
|
Hell yeah! Go SaSe <3
|
There should be another poll on who is going to win mining out....

SaSe's 21-7 for PvT in 2012 and he beat PuMa at DreamHack, so he should probably win this.
|
Are both of these guys actually being flown out for this? Seems kind of extreme, aren't they both in korea?

Dunno why you'd say he has little chance when he's recently gone 2-0 SeleCT, 2-0 ThorZaIN, 2-0 GanZi, 2-1 PuMa, 2-0 ForGG, 2-0 Heart, 2-0 Artist, 2-1 SeleCT
His PvT is pretty dominant, and PuMa's TvP (like most terrans) isn't what it used to be.

This is gonna be a close one
|
Wouldn't be surprised to see SaSe take it 4-0. Need that revenge for MLG orlando.

sase pretty good! wow for the last 6 months, the only pvt sase has lost has been to mkp haha
|
Can't wait for Mining Out
Also, Sase not in Korea? I thought he just was there for Naniwa's code S match

close enough to six months he's lost some pvt in kr, but internationally never realised it was so good

I voted for Sase but i expect it to be close, or something like Sase goes 3-0 and then Puma will 1-1-1 4 games in a row.

1-1-1 is far from being the magical problem solver it was 8 months ago
|
This could go either way.. I'm giving the edge to Puma.. 4-3!
|
I think this is gonna be the closest match of the Barcraft Sunday Showdowns so far. 4-3 either way, but my heart goes to SaSe.
|
I haven't seen so much from both lately, even though I like SaSe way more I think PuMa will take this fairly easy. He's best MU is TvP also!
|
gl to both of these guys tomorrow, looking forward to it
|
I'm rooting for Sase I think 4-2 brotoss win!
|
Looking forward to the results
|
As much as I like sase, puma is just too strong tvp x.x I think puma will win this, but very close games
|
expecting at least 3 times 1-1-1 from PuMa :D
go go SaSe~~

Sase has sick pvt cant wait to see this match. Also does anyone know if they will be doing the bulldozer thing?

Funny thing to say that when MarineKing is like 10-0 vs Sase.

Should be really close match. Go PuMa! Edit: Just realised it's NASL showmatch and PuMa is King of NASL so easy win! x)
|
Are there any raffles or contest for spectators at these events?

I believe SaSe got there Thursday night and PuMa Saturday night. Jetleg may play a bit of a role.

Well I've already spent a good like $300 on GSL I don't know if I want to sub to anther league.

The first Barcraft Sunday showdown went 4-2...the next went 4-1...then the next was 4-0.
So clearly the result of this must be a 5-0 or a 4- -1
|
|
PuMa will win 4-0 with four 1-1-1's.
|
That was a great defense by sase, really good way to split up his army, great g2 ^_^
|
|
puma his focus fire was so good this game, ALWAYS picking off sentry's straight away, but the misclick of sase losing those 3 stalkers really hurted t_t
|
Perfect defense in G3 overall by PuMa. Well done.

Woo Sase. Ties it up 3-3!
|
|
Sase going to 2base Collosi allin in the final game.
edit: nvm, some weird fast collosi into expand build. Sase and Puma both take their thirds.
|
Sase wins! Wins 3 games in a row to beat Puma 4-3 after going down 1-3 early on.
|
Sase:DD such a great serie!

Great set, well done Sase!

Sick set, very well done SaSe! Great start of the day (for us in Europe)

WP SaSe, I stayed up to cheer from afar and he didn't disappoint, sadly didn't get to watch it live though

I see SaSe figured out how to stop the 1-1-1. Well he used any 1-1-1 builds knowing PuMa would exclusively do it.
|
good job sase

Agree and I remember people telling us we overhyped Stephano and look what he became! Scarlet reminds me alot of Stephano actually in play style and the way she stormed into the scene.

It's not the hype that bothers me, it's the overhype. People already claiming she's the best American player is pretty ridiculous. What has she actually done apart from win a few female only tournaments, beat an average code-b player in a ZvZ, and take a game off Oz?
Hype is fine, but the amount of hype she's getting is a bit over the top now. People should wait for her to actually start posting notable results before claiming things like her being the best American player.

To consider her better than players like Sheth, idra, Huk (lmfao this is the one that makes me think it's a troll), axslav, and ddoro from 1 lucky run in which she baneling all inned a Code B zerg, had a loss removed by Demuslim (who isn't exactly known for his stellar tournament play), and took 1 game ( a single game, she didnt even win the series using mass roach a move style) is mind- boggling.

Glad to see you're supporting our fine community, when you go out of your way to complain about a PPV event when NASL is free pretty much every day (including right before the event showed, during its usual program). You sitting through an advertisement isn't money coming out of your pocket. You're not making any sacrifice. Don't pay for the event if you don't want to, but don't shit on them for wanting to do a special event every once in a while. Plus, I highly doubt that you'll never be watching their (or MLG's) free streams ever again simply because they wanted to run the occasional PPV event, so keep your hypocrisy in mind next time you enjoy their high-quality free content and production they offer to us, because it's hardly free for them.
I'm not saying you need to spend all your money on them, but don't be so critical when bonus events come out. You're acting like a spoiled child, not someone who's so cleverly *above being brainwashed*. It's called being realistic; they are businesses. They give us great content. And you whine about it. On their thread.
|
OMG not the - you dont pay PPV so you dont support esports BS.
Have fun!

Also, When I watch NASL they get income from ads being displayed in my location. Have fun ! Hey buddy, I'm with you, at least in the aspect that I don't pay to watch people play a video game. But in the grand scheme of things it's really not a big deal if you want to pay or not. Some people like watching this stuff more then others and if they want to pay for it then that's their prerogative. I don't consider them brainwashed. They want a certain product and are willing to pay for it. Nothing wrong with that. If you don't want to pay to watch a video game there are a million other things you could do with your time (99.9% of them being more productive than watching 2 people play SC). There's no need to hate--just do something else. And if you want to watch SC then there are many free tourneys and player streams that you can watch. This whole ppv thing that MLG started has made me realize that there are in fact many other things I should be doing with my time.

We all have our opinion and I'm fine with that, but demuslin 2nd best foreign terran sounds so wrong in my ears >.<

haha what? That's not how it works.
Like Puma is still a better player than Sase despite this loss because unlike Sase Puma can actually play and defeat players of the Zerg race.
Anyone can win/lose a single best of three it doesn't make you better than someone.

It does indeed, but he is still very good and stable. Also, imo, one of the most mannered, but that doesnt have to do much with how he plays. Well, IMO, the time when this statement would be right, has passed :/.

Yes, anyone can beat anyone in bo3, but if you consider all the latest Scarlett results, see the games and the opponents, you will see its not about IPL and not about luck anymore. Yes, I am a fan, but I am also not blind and realistic.

we all know cruncher was better than idra for over a year, until he beat him back
|
+ Show Spoiler + I think its the 3rd or 4th time in a row that SaSe beats puma in a bo3/bo5? At least the 3rd

Actually IdrA beat Cruncher about 2 months after their TSL3 meeting.

It's the second according to TLPD. Also you don't have to put a spoiler, this is a live report thread, people come here to discuss the results.

I don't think the player she's beaten since IPL are anyone's definition of a top end foreigner, nevermind Koreans.
If she starts consistantly beating the mainstays of the foreign scene like White Ra, Kas, Socke, Hasu Obs, Grubby, Dimaga and the like then maybe she can start to be compared to Sheth and Huk.

Hm, I can't say I'm not surprised. Very pleasantly so, but still.
Nicely done Sase

Who won Mining Out between these two?

GJ Sase!!
and can't wait for Illusion v Scarlett. Both of them getting so big quickly, there will definitely be great games.

Apparently PuMa didn't arrive in time to do Mining Out, however SaSe's pile was the smallest in the entire rankings.

kas, Lucifron, Beastyqt, Happy, Select-- all better than Demuslim.
Also, saying someone is better than someone else because they beat them is pretty idiotic. I guess Demuslim is better than Nestea? Ddoro has made it into the championship bracket of an MLG, and has been one of the stronger NA players for awhile. I just think considering Scarlett one of the best players in NA from winning 2 games (frekin 2 games! Against a B team korean and Demuslim) is too much of a stretch.
Hell, Illusion's run was actually 100x more impressive than Scarlett's, yet Scarlett got a ton more 'hype.'

Scarlett is certainly a good player, perhaps the ace on her old team, but she isn't up to par to some of the top American players.
