Team liquid should have this =)
The only tough one might be TLO vs. Select but it shouldnt even come to that.
GoGo TL!
|
BlinG can take on Sheth (it's probably gonna be the best game in the series). Zenio is very much favored but Sjow isn't out of the game either. PvP is PvP, so Hero isn't a guaranteed win.
Anyway, I'm excited for this!
|
Interesting that they didn't play Ret, he's been incredibly on form lately.
|
Lovin' the TL zerg line-up. :D

yesssssssssssss can't wait for these matches
|
This could very easily go to an ace match. Select is heavily favored against TLO, and all Dignitas needs to do is to take another set, which is definitely feasible.
|
tlo select and sheth bling o.O love those matchups
|
YES! iNcontrol casting!!!
|
|
Wish TL had more Terrans. T.T
Liquid fighting though.

Dignitas can definitely win this, PvP is PvP(although Hero should still be favored there), Bling vs Sheth sounds like a tossup to me, and I think SeleCT should be able to beat TLO. Liquid is probably still favored though.
|
Either Dignitas wins or it goes to the ace match. Zenio, Bling and Select will definitely take their matches. Hero should beat Bischu, but, PvP
|
gogo Team Liquid! good casters too, I'm excited!
|
I think Liquid will take this
even though it is PvP HerO still has a 68% winrate (statistically it's his best MU) Zenio will definitely beat SjoW Sheth vs. Bling could go either way SeleCT will probably beat TLO
If it comes to an ace match, I think Liquid will still take it, since they have HerO, zenio, Ret and maybe even Jinro...
IdrA should cast this ^^, too bad he is at the IEM xD
|
Can't wait to see Geoff and Ben casting together! will be great!
|

Might be due to the illness hes suffering from that caused him to miss IEM. It seems like EG made the effort to have all these games played just days before the broadcast so that's a possible explanation.
|

Would of been nice to have Idra or Machine cast this since there are 3 zerg matches, but Demu + InControl will surely be good too.
|
Go go Liquid, be evil geniuses tonight! Ooh, I feel so dirty saying that, haha!
|
HerO, Zenio, Sheth, Select imo.
TL 3-1.

I think its a mixture this time around. I know some of the games have been played on the Korean and European servers. For example, Slayers vs Mouz had some games where the words were in Korean. Incontrol vs. Adelscott also saw the usage of Incontrols european account (redeemer).
I don't know how they determine which games are played on which server but its definitely not 100% exclusively on the NA srever this season.

Sheth vs Bling looks like an awesome matchup.

Ya... that's like 5-7 seconds off. Probably going to hav eto mute it now :-/

woh. just tuned in. demuslim looks so small next to incontrol.

It isn't out of sync at all for me. Try raising the quality and see if that fixes it?
|
That was strange ... after all that happened, how was Zenio not ahead?
|
Wow. This casting duo is incredible. DeMuslim totally reading Sjow's genius was amazing, I dunno how he realized Sjow was ahead there.
|
anyone know where sjow is going from dignitas?
|
Demu ZvT is Zenio worse MU, everyone know this. TT

My audio and video are in sync at 720+p >.>

Demuslim's analysis great this game. Really sjows the value of upgrades.

SjoW played that pretty well :3 Sad this is prolly the last time to see him with the Dignitas tag :<

If it's out of sync for you guys try refreshing the page and/or switching the quality. Working fine for me

I think this casting duo is what a "ideal" casting pair should be like, IMO. Incontrol acting as the play-by-play and Demuslim providing in depth anaylsis. And the odd joke here and there keeps people interested.

Loving the split screen. With all the multitasking, this is going to be casting gold. Good find by EG.

Lol. Hey iNcontroL, that split screen thing has real potential. Something like that of a Pip screen like on the television would be dope to cover drops and counter attacks during casting.
If you guys can find a way to work that in I think I would add a whole new level to the viewing experience.
The only problem I see is knowing when the drops and counterattacks are coming, especially during live casts.

Sheth played poopy and strange.
|
Don't understand how they're getting this many views with the sync this bad.
|
Wow, so they just spent that whole game shitting on Sheth.
The Hydra thing irked me in particular, since it seemed obvious to me (what with all of the upgrades) that he was deliberately keeping them alive to be part of his late-game comp. Without storm on the field, it didn't seem like an inherently bad idea to me, either.
|
How much was he banking at max? Around 13k? Why not invest in 30 spines. Or at least replace the hydra ling part of the army. Also, replacing his lost army with 10+ infestors seems questionable, given the time needed to hatch them.
|

Because I'm pretty sure a lot of us aren't having any sync issues at all. I haven't had any this entire time at 720p+ and others have reported that just refreshing fixed the issues.

Is it just me or do they seem pretty mean to Sheth? They seem very condescending...

Storm isn't the only thing that wrecks hydras....collosus, archons, and upgraded gateway units all destroy hydras pretty easily.

Archons if they get onto the hydras melt them too. You think he should have kept 90 drones and 30 lings? Try and actually give me a good reason for this. Sheth played terrible that game. He is not a terrible player but that game he made many bad choices.

Zero sync problems for me so far, although you're not the only person to say something. Someone else had said that a simple refresh fixed it (if you'd like to try that), but I'm on 720+p and I've had no audio or video problems at all.

The Hydra thing irked me in particular, since it seemed obvious to me (what with all of the upgrades) that he was deliberately keeping them alive to be part of his late-game comp. Impressed by Bling in game 1. Too bad I have to go now. GGs.

They were being critical for a good reason. The EG guys practice with Sheth all the time - there is no bad blood here.

I love this caster combo , mostly for the banter.
"That was tosh" "What?" "Tosh, you know, like tish tosh" "C'mon Ben this is an american audience"

Yeah, but I feel like they were going out of their way to say that he is playing bad. Not even giving him the benefit of a doubt.

Well, Sheth could have had 60-100 more supply in appropriate late game units, and the points were made at how few infestors, broodlords, etc. he had. And he got trampled.

TLO! This is what I wanted zergs to do every time!! Thank you for doing this combo!! <3
|
TLO using overlords with creep tumors to push creep out into the middle <3
|
WTF. It's 12 minutes. 4 base, hive, 2/3rds of the map is covered in creep, 75 drones, 20 supply ahead with no engagements. Holy crap this looks scary.

Yea, but his drones on gas is horrible. Rather he focused on that then creep spread.

that is the most monstrous creep spread I have ever seen. 14 minutes he's the whole way across the map. TLO does the craziest shit.

I think it's very safe. His resources were always being spent, he wasn't floating high minerals or gas, so his economy was clean and well managed as far as I'm concerned.
|
This is why I (and others) love TLO. He seems to be thinking about different ways to take advantage of what he is given like the overlord creep drop. It isn't something no one would ever think of, but it is so rare to see in pro games.
|
TLO is so much better at zerg than terran it's not even funny, lol.
He's so sick now.
|
TLO with such an innovative strategy. If he had better mechanics and fundamentals, he would be so good. Great game
|
I don't see why players like Zenio don't do this.
Zenio makes 4 queens.
If he sent one of them across the map, with an overlord, they would be able to creep up the protoss third/4th bases fully as soon as lair finishes, and even make a path backwards to his own base.
|

Lol their sync....DeMuslim's like "Wow all those infestors died!"
And I was like wtf? they're all right there...
and then on incontrol's replay, ten second later...all the infestors die.

isn't OL speed rushed immediately after lair every zvt? I think Incontrol is making too much out of it.

I don't mean the audio and video sync, I mean incontrol and Demuslim syncing their replays. DeMuslim's replay seems to be just a few second ahead.
Although, it may be audio and video sync...I just assumed it was because Demuslim's replays are ahead of incontrols. (and I know incontrol's is being broadcasted)

Going to a rubber match! TLO has already surpassed my expectations with a greatly thought out game 1 gameplan

Well its one thing to mention some mistakes... but to do an entire game nothing else? It's just annoying. Maybe thats the way EG want it to be done and maybe thats the reason why IPL hast 15k viewer and EG MCSL 5k...

Still pretty big that Sjow left the team despite being Ace just a shortwhile back. They're hinting there might have been a breakdown that was rather abrupt instead of easing into termination of the contract.

That game full of mistakes from TLO and okay play from Select. I appreciate the casters being honest (they are progamers after all) and calling out TLO instead of hyping every little detail like the game was winnable.

IPL is a major tournament organization, EG is a team. Millenium hosts events and they don't get 15k viewers, not like MSI cup gets IPL level viewers. And MCSL is casted by players, what else do you expect? They're going to be more technical in casting.

Well, IPL TAC is just a bigger tournament as well. More teams, Korean teams, and a bigger prize pool. Plus the recent IPL TAC games were the final two rounds while EG MC is just starting. It makes sense IPL TAC has bigger numbers.

I think during an interview at IEM NY SjoW said that he thinks most sc2 pros are underpaid so he prolly wanted "too much" money. Some Dignitas staff member even said they would've liked to keep him but could not agree on the contract terms.

Wait... what? Your logic is baffling me... IPL is a huge tournament featuring all the top players in the world battling it out in a live arena w/ audience for $100,000... EG MCSL is a clan-war, replay-oriented match for nothing but ranking, eventually possibly MAYBE towards a $10,000 prize pool.
Judging by that, IPL only getting 3x the viewers actually means that EGMCSL is doing incredible with viewer counts. If you're gonna try to hate, please take a different approach.
EDIT: In the time it took me to make sure all my numbers were right, tons of people beat me to this point already. Ah well glad I'm not alone here.
On a lighter note - this has been a great series with some awesome games and fantastic casting. I'm very pleased/impressed.

I have a feeling you can say that about every game. It's true TLO did some major mistakes elsewise he wouldn't have lost the game but whats the point to talk the entire game about it? I mean that's not practice like the Red Bull LANs, so actually I don't want to know every single slight mistake someone does.

Grats Sjow, taking out 2 korean pro's.

quite the send off performance for Sjow. I just can't get my head around him not being with Dignitas anymore
|
Wow, that was quite an exit from Dignitas by Sjow...Talk about making them feel bad.

phenomenal casting by demu and inc.
i really like it much more when pros cast. they bring you up to speed on whats happening, does some analyzing, knowledge of how the game is going and still make it exciting.
i almost can't stand more traditional casters anymore. no presonality and only tries to talk fast and describe exactly whats happening on the screen. mute is the cure.

Isn't sjow the guy with like 100 apm?
How does he do it?

How does he do it? He's just very good in everything besides mechanics. Crisp builds, great sense of timings and great understanding of the game.
Imagine if he had MKPs mechanics. He'd be invincible.

nice dignitas
sjow giving dignitas the win "from the grave" haha

How does he do it? Not any more I think, he is quite a bit faster since his trip to Korea.
Still not a fast player but apparently fast enough.

good job SjoW&dignitas. Why everytime i see your posts it's something about LastShadow?

Zombie Sjow kicking some ass. Too bad it's at the expense of Team Liquid. Not a good way to start for Team Liquid, I hope they start picking it up.
|
wow didnt expect Sjow to do that well, gj
|
Wow SjoW making a grand exit from Dignitas at least :O
|
Hi folks,
The rebroadcast of the Liquid vs. Dignitas match will go live on Sunday at the normal rebroadcast time. Euros, we didn't forget
|
Liquid vs Dignitas? Maybe it will be a good series but surely not as good as the epic Liquid vs Dignitas showdown in TB monobattles tournament...! ^^
|
this makes me really sad that sjow left now T_T

Yah the stuff said to him there is way nicer than some players get it from fans They both love Sheth so they wouldnt be out to insult him anyways.
Was i really the only one finding incontrols vision of sheth losing units all over the map while still macroing and beating off with his left hand offensive and insulting?

Liquid'Sjow anyone? They do need terrans after all

Incontrol is pretty damn funny.
|
+ Show Spoiler +Holy Cow, Sjow clearly pulling the team here, getting 2 of the 3 points needed for the win. Get this guy a new and bigger team asap!
|
you should always nexus first if you can scout your opponent first, since you can see if he pooled before 13 or not in time to go forge cannon and be safe
|
Sjow is a boss, hope his team search goes well.

GJ SjoW and gl at liquid.

|
nice clanwar! hope for some really good games! <3 hf both teams!

Eh I think people overstate this kind of thing. You just don't need to be fast to win in Sc2, countless foreigners prove this. It doesn't mean you're some amazing genius because you can win while being a slow player.

After such a tear through team leagues recently i didn't expect TL to lose this one; an overall strong showing from SjoW - a bit of a shame he had to leave dignitas, he looked pretty solid.
