Format
This double-elimination tournament features 16 teams from around the world and is an All-Kill team format. This match is being played for Losers Round 4. The first team to defeat everyone on the opposing team's roster (5 wins, or a best of 9), will move on in the Losers Bracket, while the losing team will be eliminated from the tournament entirely. Keep in mind that this has a $20,000 prize pool, and only six teams will make it to the money!

Startale fighting! I think they should be able to secure this. Their player depth is better that NS HoSeo. They also have two aces that are very versatile against all races. Then there's ST_July as well...
Hack vs Sage ... statistics would give Hack the edge, but I'm not too sure about this match. Anyways looking forward to the team match. Hopefully we can get Jjakji vs Parting / Bomber vs Seal
2 gas on Tal'Darim where you basically have no reason to go a two gas build and where Terran really likes to play gasless fast expand really makes me think blinkstalker allin, either 4 gate blink with hallucination or 4 gate blink with robo.
Obviously could be a DT build or 4 gate robo.. etc Could also be a 3 gate pressure / poke into expansion
Yes, this looks like 3 gate pressure. He could either do it very 'hardcore' with chrono on his gateways or the more economic style and chrono his nexus still as he lacks probe/worker production.
Sage already making the transition, he will not commit any further to it, but only stay there and threaten Terran. Its really frustrating as Terran since you actually need to have scvs there or keep your attention there, because if he commits and you called it out as fake, you die.
Other than that... Protoss obviously can't fuck it up either. 2 or 4 medivac timing will be extremely good and stressful to hold off as Sage, but I guess he will have charge done if he starts it first. If he goes for blink, he might die to it...
it might not fit into this match-specific thread, but I would like to thank IGN for this awesome teamleague. really entertaining and I tune in almost every night. sooo much better than the NASL..
I don't really agree with sending KingKong, I would have send out Squirtle. He's very good against Protoss while Sage isn't and he's insanely good against Zerg as well basically leaving Terrans to choose. And NSHS lacks a good amount of Terrans that are good all around, and probably won't send Jjakji right away.

The last part is not entirely true, perhaps, as Sculp/Sting have been doing well enough in team leagues, better than NSHS's second-tier Zergs (Flower/Fairy/Freaky). As for their choice of second player, I think that they feel confident enough in their aces streaking through NSHS's ranks that they more than willing to give one of their B-teamers a shot.

Yes, I only said they lack good Terran allrounders (TvT, TvZ, TvP) which in my opinion is correct, but cannot argue if anyone has another opinion^^!
I think you cannot "give someone a shot" today, because you can and should expect PartinG or Bomber and they can take two or more players out. In terms of overall level I think only Jjakji is there to stand against PartinG / Bomber , which doesn't mean there can't be another player taking them out as I think NSHS did prepare a sniper for PartinG especially.

Well, I tangled it up a bit: I meant that ST think that they can afford to send out a B-teamer, since they have two ace-level players rather than one, not the other way around. About Sculp/Sting, I don't really know about their matchups (I only know that Sting has a very stylized play), and I will take your opinion on them.

The sheer numbers of top Koreans players might have made me believe otherwise :|
NSHS can sacrifice 1 player to snipe July and after thats its just Bomber _OR_ PartinG left and even though I think only Jjakji is as good as them, it will be very hard for them to take down 4 players...

I didn't realize this was a best of 9. Presumably Parting was at MLG, but what about Curious? I would have actually picked him over July. I don't think that Bomber can all-kill NSHS again, they likely have prepared San/Seal for a snipe.
I'm still blown away by that hold. He did hold it off with a 3rd base done and medivacs out... and without bunkers prepared. Cannot imagine how a 6 or 7 gate would ever kill him when he has bunkers let alone if he knows its coming. wtf :D

Man, I was so wrong. July should have won, Tiger played terribly, and Bomber anti-timed his bunkers away (and still held thanks to his medivacs and Sage's poor execution), but still... Sage all-kill! Hopefully this will give him a little confidence boost. I fear for the upcoming matches, though: ST would have likely been more interesting against FXO.

Sage isn't exactly an unknown. He all-killed fOu way back when, placed pretty high (third?) in a Korean Weekly, made it pretty far in the 3D Cinema Special League thing, and has been in three or four GSL's (mostly Code A)
