I think, due to the nature of the event, a set of well-known, English speaking SC2 personalities is just the thing. The trash talk and shenannigans are probably going to be half of the fun. Seeing the best in the world going at it and doing ridiculous things would have some pretty good entertainment value as well, but some of the fun is going to be lost in translation.

The OP clearly states Saturday 10th March 0100KST which technically is Friday night/Saturday Morning and is wrong. I didn't want to stay up late on the wrong night.

The March 10 was written by hand, then the time is a local time conversion based on the user viewing it. If you don't have a time set, I think it defaults to KST.

Assuming that players will be forced to random, it will be as simple as who lucks out with what units. The players wouldn't have signed up for it if they thought it wasn't going to be any fun. People tend to do things that they don't like because there is money involved. Right? Big teams generally don't sign up to silly random tournaments for a 1/4 shot at $1k split between 4 people. They could spend the time streaming instead. Dude, who wouldn't have fun with this? Just because you become a pro doesn't mean you turn into a robot. If I were a pro, this would be a very welcome break from my serious practicing, and I'd do it even if it had a $0 prize pool. The added incentive of $1000 for winning is just icing on the cake. Debbie downer much? Edit: I'm kinda more excited for this than I would be for a real tournament.

His point was that the teams wanted to play for fun as proven by the fact that $1000 between 4 people is hardly anything to them. He was not, as you appear to have interpreted, saying that the teams involved aren't big teams.
