I feel the same way. If I was religious, Boxer would be the entity I prayed to for good fortune.

This is horrible... Can you seriously just warn/ban people like this. Pointless, pointless hatred against a player, nothing annoys me more. He doesn't like puma and he express it. Ban? Are you a communist? Why is it a bad thing that PuMa doesn't advance? Why is that "horrible"? What is it about PuMa he doesn't like? why do some people hate on the LA Lakers? or even the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Eagles. of all the teams you used here for the nfl, you use the Eagles? Patriots or Cowboys would have fit much better. sorry just struck me odd haha. and i'm an eagles fan.
lol
Well, I listed LA Lakers or New York Yankees as it might be closely resemble to team EG with how much money they have comparably to their opposing teams; and the fact that they have lots of fans and lots of anti-fans as well. But I also wanted to point out that you can hate on any team not pertaining to a certain mold such as that. I just randomly picked the Eagles. I know some people who don't like the Eagles because they have obnoxious fans lol.
But anyways, the point is that you root for people and you can root against people. It's part of competitive sports and I didn't see any problem with him expressing that he did not want Puma to advance.

Unfortunate that the Antiga game slipped out of BoxeR's hands twice, but it was really his game to lose both times, cloak would have made this a different game, probably favoring BoxeR T_T ggs I have to hear he had results prior to hoping for him to get results. It's not stupid. I want to become a fan after he his a great player not to cheer for him when he struggles. It's just a let down. A real fan cheers for their player through thick and thin. You're not a real fan. Nope, I am not anymore. The thin got really thin for me. Too thin. Wow, you were never a fan if thats your attitude. Boxer had gotten into Code S for the first season this year. He lost to MKP and Puma dude. MKP has been on fire this year and Puma is certainly no slouch. Did you see him at IEM beating MMA? I'm glad your not a fan of Boxer, you're not worth of it. It's not about the score but the games. He has lots to improve to be on the same level of the current terrans. And he always gets leads and then throws aways the game with a stupid move. I was introduced to eSports many years ago with replays of Boxers dropship+tank micro. The emperor will always have a place in my heart <3 Ofc I still love Boxer, will just not blindly root for him in the future. If you don't root for Boxer, who will you root for? Yes, today was very frustrating for Boxer fans, but think about how he feels. The guy is more than 30 years old, and has been gaming professionally at a time when some of the younger players in the scene now were in diapers. He doesn't have to compete in SC2. He's famous, pretty well off financially, his girlfriend is a famous actress, etc. He doesn't have to prove anything: Everyone knows that he is the Emperor, and no one has had as much of an impact on BW as he did. He keeps on fighting because he has so much invested into Esports, and the growth of SC2 in Korea. It is completely selfless, and while all his peers and contemporaries are retiring, Boxer goes back into the booth time and time again, coming back after every setback and disappointment. I root for Slayers Boxer unconditionally, because very few people inspire me like he does. It's not just about the games, it's about the context. You act like he's an old man who actually cannot compete anymore. He is a very good player and if you watch his stream you'll see he beats GSL Code S material every day in convincing fashion. He had results in Starcraft 2 as well even though he didn't win anything major. BoxeR usually never lets down if he prepares.
Word. Boxer is only 'bad' when compared against the frame of his BW history and the success of other Korean terrans. He's perfectly capable of beating top foreigners and has surprisingly done better against Korean competition than I would have ever expected.

To be honest I find puma kind of boring as well. Mvp, MMA, MKP, boxer, jjakji, taeja, polt, bomber, these are all players that I have no problem rooting for. Puma just leaves me cold.

That guy would be me. And just FYI, as I follow the SC2 scene quite closely, I'm well aware of PuMas achievments

Anyone know when Group B starts? Or are they just going to have them play as per the broadcast schedule?

The problem is that he has numerous health issues. I remember from the documentary Boxer's Wings back in 2010 that he has problems with his shoulder, and that they do cause him issues. Furthermore, he also mentioned a lot of times in interviews, such as the one from MLG Providence, the thoughts of retirement do occasionally pop up. I was also a bit worried when he decided to become a player-coach, as I fear that that might be a slow transition to retirement.
Boxer is definitely a very strong player, but he is definitely an "old man" by progamer standards. I guess I do hold an expectation that is high, but it stems from memories from when he was bonjwa.

This is a silly debate. It's simply yet another symbolic gesture of the crown being passed from Boxer to the true heir of the Terran Empire, MarineKing.
It's so obvious.

Anyone finding the broadcasts lackluster? The casting is fine, the players are fine, but the production value is lacking. I'm not sure if I'm watching at the correct times, but there must be 5 commercials and 6-7 minutes of down time between games. I've turn it off quiet a few times due to the pace. Anyone else have similar feelings?

lol ret loses the same way idra loses to alive .. wheres the outrage ... i thot all good zergs are able to defend 2 rax easily lol ... (stupid people need to realize the difference between mkp/alive 2 rax and scrub 2 raxing)
|
Ret really didn't play very well against MKP, both during the 2rax as well as the other game, failing to respond to the hellion harass properly and losing so many drones.
|
Just a little heads up: your US rebroadcast had the wrong time set on the TL calendar. When it went live according to the calendar you were in the middle of Ret/MKP.
