If I am allowed to jump on the TB-hate bandwagon: I dislike him aswell, because I prefer casters knowing something of the game. TB seems to try to call every battle as wrong as it possibly could (yes, I know, not an analyzing caster blabla). Of course, there are people who like him and I respect the decision to invite him, I, however, will keep my stream muted.

i honestly can't listen to the audio for any stream he's on because i can't stand his commentary. i know there are a lot of people who feel this way too so i wonder why he is always invited to events? does he really bring in so many viewers who wouldn't view otherwise to more than compensate the people he turns away from streams?

he use to get a lot of flak for good reason, his casting style is relativey niche and if you don't like it you find it downright oboxious. i'm afraid that the lack of flak recently has caused tournament oranizers to believe that he has a bigger followering than he really does and they don't realize how many viewers he turns off.

Totalbuiscuit is one of the best casters out there, I always thought he was good, but lately I have been surprised, he just seems to get better and better. Love his jokes

Why so spread out? The broadcasting times. 1 group takes 2 weeks to broadcast?

Well, TB is definitely a controversial character, as he does not shy away from responding to critics. However, I think while he is not a highly analytical caster, he is still trying very hard to help SC2 grow. His style is great for casual followers, and very reminiscent of English football commentators.

If you don't like him, mute the stream, and play the Mortal Kombat theme song or something to make for some epic audio. But I personally don't mind his casting.

It comes down to what style of casters you like. People like me prefer casters with a lot of knowledge about the game with all its tricks and tips. People like you prefer jokes and entertainment during the casts

nope, actually I'm excited to have TB and Apollo casting, it's a reason for me to tune in to a tournament.

Your assumption that he is a "niche" caster is bullshit as well, his own Shoutcraft Invitational had 50k viewers at some point.

Apollo brings the hard core technic part, and TB has improved a lot on that matter!

Love everything about this tournament but there's an error at the end of ToD's bit (it just ends).

Also, that photo of ToD is so unbelievably badass it's like he's staring into my soul and finding me unworthy. I ... I feel emasculated by it lol.

The reason TB and Apollo are good together is because Apollo provides analysis. I much prefer TB + Apollo to either of them seperately, because they complement each other.

This is in contrast to Tastosis, who (forgive me) are worse than just Artosis on his own, or Artosis with someone else other than Tasteless, preferably an analytical caster. This is because Artosis can both analyze and make jokes, but has a problem with being too biased or too convinced of his own opinions and putting them out as objective truth, whereas Tasteless is funny, but his knowledge of the game is frankly disgraceful for a GSL caster. The two have good personalities for each other, but their talents don't really match up: they are funny, but not hugely funny compared to Artosis on his own or other casters on their own eg Day[9], and the already biased analysis is provided by Artosis and then hugely exaggerated or turned into hyperbole by Tasteless, a lot of the time.

TB is definitely one of those casters whom I would dislike casting on his own. TB + Apollo, on the other hand, is hugely enjoyable as long as the two do what each of them are good at.

And that's why TB casts with Apollo, who has an excellent understanding of the game. It seems that TB doesn't have any more haters than other casters, but he seems to attract the ones who can't help but tell us how much they hate him every 5 minutes.

I hear this from people yet they can never give a single example of when it actually happened. It's incredibly frustrating to read. S'like MY GOD NOTHING YOU TELL ME HELPS ME IMPROVE BECAUSE YOU CAN NEVER PROVIDE A SINGLE EXAMPLE OF IT ACTUALLY HAPPENING RAWRRRRRRRRRRRRR *KICKS PUPPIES* :o

There was that time in HSC where a bunch of players who should have known better miscalled an entire game including pretty much every single fight in favour of the wrong person, yet no-one can ever tell me which battle I've mis-called.

More to the point, how do you mis-call a fight that you're offering pure play-by-play on? It's nigh on impossible.

My favourite casting pair is definitly TB+Apollo.
I tend to prefer them over Tastosis and the others, though i don"t dislike them.

TB+Apollo is perfectly balanced for newcomers and higly enjoyale for experienced players(technical, yet understandable) and to me it's thanks to duos like that SC2 is reaching such a level of popularity, to the point people who don't even play the game like to watch streamed tournaments(much like Pomf et Thud, you always read in Youtube comment things like "I don't play the game, but this is awsome!").

Keep up the good work my dear Biscuit.

Well, they don't have to watch them before broadcast, I'm sure casters don't.

I like how it's broadcasted a bit like TSL, hopefully it gets similar views

I don't have any access to replays or result, I'm not really a representative, I write for them and help Kaoru for the communication on TL as we are the most used to it! But I'm prolly the most impatient to see the results!
