Grand Prix #1 - Day 1 Monday, Feb 13 11:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00)
What's going on with FXO lately? They didn't show up for the NASL S3 qualifier and now they don't show up for this. I'm a big fan of theirs but this is pretty unprofessional.
You guys are doing an awesome job with the korean weekly, looking forward to this. Who is going to cast this? I liked Adebisi a lot please keep him. Axel and orb cast well too! glhf
Group A is difficult to predict, ya Taeja is a shoe in but, TvT is a bit of a coin flip. Never no if proxy marauders are going to come calling. And with Jjun in a group with all TvT I expect a proxy factory+banshee at least once. Who knows maybe he will try to thor rush again(one can hope). I haven't seen enough of Shuttle at all and for this reason I hope he advances. Definitely get your bingo cards out with Jjun playing.
Lots of burgeoning talent in Group B. SaSe has been playing quite well recently and can't pass him up. Crank has been a bit more consistent and he showed very competent games in his GSTL debut. Hoon has also been looking well but, need to see some more games from him. Hope he uses this opportunity to show some good games against the other races.
Group C. What can be said? Dream was cursed by Artosis(literally) and has since been playing quite well going deep in GSL qualifiers, EWM, KSL and of course ESV. Not sure how GuineaPig will do as I haven't seen much of his Terran play, excited though. And as always what can be said for solid players like Zenio and Ryung that hasn't already?
I dunno about this Group D. Symbol has got to be a clear favorite. Winning the Iron Squid qualifier and then showing some good games in the GSTL this guy looks like what Hyun was being hyped up to be. Sage still has great PvZ and alot of zergs have been having trouble with the prism/immortal pushes. Jookto is also solid, not much to say about him, never been impressed but, is continually going deep in tournaments. Naama is the wild card in this group and has been streaming his improvement almost daily.
All in all I see this as a pretty balanced day of group play. None of the players in the groups look unbeatable and will be quite interesting to see who makes it out.

8 different casters on 4 simultaneous streams watching some of the Top Progamers in the world duke it out for a shot at a trip to Finland and a $20,000 prize pool.
If it wasnt on valentines day i would be watching this for several hours and then milan vs arsenal in the evening. Well im not gonna complain, ill just watch the vods and try to avoid all spoilers.
4 streams.... Its reminds me of DH Winter stream extravaganza. Diamond could you post the stream shedule for all streams (well minus the french one) so it would be easier to plan watching.

They all start at the same time. The casters can take a break if needed but it's not planned per se. So the start time in the OP is the go time for all.
Here's the match/map order. It's in a sort of crude google doc format so hopefully someone good at liquipedia sees it and puts it on there, LP is going to be our go to resource during this event .
Keep in mind we have a rule where pointless matches do not have to be played. So if there's a blowout group, you might see a match or two not played.
Ok here is my watch list Game 1: Crank vs Sase or GuinePig vs Ryung (might start with sase games and then turn to the TvT after the 4 gates... still deciding) Game 2: Zenio vs Dream or Naama vs Sage (you guys aren't making it easier to choose^^) Game 3: Guinepig vs Zenio Game 4: Sase vs Hoon or Naama vs jookto (im getting more torned apart in choosing) Game 5: Symbol vs Naaama or Guinepig vs Dream. Game 6: All group matches...
Dam you Diamond. Ill have to flip a coin at what match to watch with audio a few times.

I don't know. Every team was fully notified and reminded several times before the event including several hours out. FXO in particular I had just talked to the previous day.
If anyone is good with liquipedia there is a lot of stuff undone on there (mainly map/match order), if you have time contribute to make this easier to watch and follow for everyone! My LP skills suck, but anyone can edit that stuff in !
Do stream 2 works for anyone ? It tells me to disable my adblock, I don't have one, and I'm watching streams 1 and 4 at the same time. edit : only stream 2 does this, just opened stream 3 and it works.
Hey guys, the fine folks at Twitch.TV are working on stream 2. Don't worry, all the games WILL be casted, and nothing is being missed! Casters: Stream 1: Orb + Adebisi ||| Stream 2: Axeltoss + ProdiG ||| Stream 3: Sympatico + DigiWombat ||| Stream 4: Frodan + Robin ||| http://www.twitch.tv/team/esvtv for a list of all streams!

He let the pylons be repowered .... Idk why he wouldnt attack the gateways
That's what I meant by bad decision making, absolutely no reason to leave the gateways unscouted. That pylon never should have gotten up =/ I can't even work out what he was trying to block his ramp from.

That would have been a great idea earlier but at that moment when there was no danger of anything being made from the gates it was an oversight to say the least. I really expected more from Sase who is an awesome protoss player.
awwwww shit poor naama, that was so ridiculously unlucky, moving out right after the blings morph and have a dropship out with your hellions T_T. So many zergs allin on sanghorn, must not be a great map lategame
edit: @GP no I think he meant initially when his units were out of base, he had that game on a silver platter if he tried to bust his rax wall with 6 hellions out.

Hi guys, It could be nice if people watching the streams could also update the LP. I'm trying to but I can't do all 4 streams by myself. It's really easy, you just have to copy what I started and add the results. Alternatively you could write each matchup, who wins, and the maps in the thread and I'll complete it afterwards.
Haha I swear I just saw Dreams stimmed Marauder Marine force just walkpast Zenios transferring drones after killing one. Like it was some kind of peace treaty.
"Late game you've got a lot of shi- stuff to do!" -Orb
Excellent. And also, I like Metropolis less and less because most games end with 5base vs 5base turtling because Terran/Protoss can wall off so easily and just sit.
Everyone needs to watch Hoon vs Kingkong game 2. Hoon way behind all game, fas ttech to brood then to an ultrabane tidal wave, win as a 100 supply zerg vs a maxed terran. Amazing play. edit : oops, did he lose that game ? TT I had no sound >< Ok, Hoon was the terran, I was talking about KingKong...time to go to sleep...that also explain why he left maxed, because he wasn't maxed at all >< Good game anyway.
give the fourth stream a shot. its mlgs farm team of casters (robin and frolon I think) and they're pretty good togeather. not prime time but I think a really good b team pair.
Too bad king kong threw away his 60 food, 2k 2k resource advantage.
When I saw that Archon spread with them in a line figthing the ultras and the storms destroying the banelings I was just facepalming as to how KingKong didnt use his 40 mutas to kill the 5 archons and 2 stalkers 10 minutes earlier
That was game-ending, and Hoon knew it. He was eating storms, collosus, and archons on his bioball while moving through a choke. That entire army would die before getting out of the choke.
Wow, Slayers about to win 3 groups, with Taeja, Ryung and Crank all showing great performances today. It's too bad Coca could not play as well.
dude Zenio is actually a sick player zvt is his worst matchup but he can still take games off the best terrens at any time so your not in the spot to talk trash
Entered the players for the Ro20 and a few other things. The group table now has 2 columns, the bolded column on the left is the Series W/L and the one on the right is the Games W/L.
A few questions: 1. Results of Group C, specifically GuineaPig vs Dream. I assume Ryung vs Zenio was skipped. 2. Did GuineaPig play as Terran for each game? 3. Match/Map order is the same for Groups E - H, right?
Seems like the Grand Prix is going awesomely and TaeJa fighting!
