Can we just remind everyone that this is still the Round of 16? So quickly people forget that GSL were usually known for the worst finals ever (until GSL Nov and BlizzCup). Having said that. Yeah. These is the premier SC2 league.
not the worst finals..just the most 1-sided...which was broken in blizzard cup...we only have 1 sided finals when 1 person decides to cheese 3 games in a row(inca) then gets owned

This music so so SO SO BAD!!!!

i wonder if nestea realised he had a solid lead. Usually when you have a lead like that you just play solid, unrisky play to close it out.

Read the thread again, Gom responded to Primadog. Basically they asked the guy doing Barcraft in Seoul to stop it because Korea is relatively small and they want people to come to the studio to enjoy the games live, whereas for foreign fans, they can't come to the studio, so they're fine with Barcraft in that case. Also they're apparently working on something to make up for it but no idea what that could be.
Basically, they're not being fascists, so relax.

In that third game we saw the momentum swing back and forth like 4-5 times, and it made it fucking amazing and bizarre. 10 pool BO win but DRG holds then Nestea snipes his main then DRG comes back again with his infestors etc etc.
This is sooo true...
Usually ZvZ is like "Oh he got a 2 drone lead or he made two drones too many" and then the game just ends. And most of the time certain builds will just flat out win you the game! I don't think people understand or appreciate how impossible this game just was !

What all that means is the other person made some mistakes.

These kinda of games aren't that uncommon when 2 zergs of similar skill level face off against eachother. That's just ZvZ for you.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
This is it. The player we have all been waiting for. The King of Marines is here to play. In the GSL marking 1 year since his last GSL regular season finals, Marineking has dominated his ro32 group to advance to the ro16. He won 2-0 vs IMHappy and Fnatic_aLive to finish the first round with a score of 2-0 (4-0). Advancing from the ro32 to the ro16 has been a sign of things to come for Marineking. In fact, in every previous non open season GSL in which he has accomplished this task, he has advanced at least to the ro4 (in GSL 3 he lost to MC 3-1 in the ro8). The last time we saw Marineking advance this far resulted in success in the ro16, but this tournament had a different format. This was the GSL Super Tournament. In this tournament, he eventually made it to the ro4 where he went on to collapse on a 2-0 lead and fall 3-2 to eventual runner up SlayerS_MMA. After this loss, many saw Marineking appear to slump. His TvT numbers plummeted and he was declared "figured out" by many. His GSTL performances were lackluster. Even his foreign tournament appearances came up short. Eventually, he found himself falling as far down as code A, where he once again received another Silver medal on his return to code S at the hands of a SlayerS Terran. Marineking is back with a vengeance. He's here to make it back to the finals and this time, one year later, there won't be IMMvp to stand in his way. He has ended up in the ro16 "Group of Death", one of the greatest challenges of his SC2 career. In the past, Marineking has struggled with group stages, specifically the bo1 group stages in the regular season GSL tournaments of 2011. However, when it comes to bo3, Marineking has done significantly better. This format is reminiscent of the 2 round group stages of GSL January 2011 where Marineking finished with a silver after an embarrassing 4-0 dismantling at the hands of Mvp. One year later, Marineking is back to claim his gold. Genius is just another body in the way.
Just something I tossed together real quick. I know it's not the best, but I didn't want some stupid comment to be my 10,000th post and I'm a pretty big Marineking fan. MARINEKING FIGHTING!!! CRUSH GENIUS!!!!!!

Hey guys.
What happens if DRG loses the winner's match, and Nestea wins the loser's match.
We get a rematch at the end of the group right?

The last game was super exciting, but Nestea and DRG fumbled unloseable situations like four times between each other. I'd say it was mostly the player on the unwinnable side who made sick decisions and moves to come back tho. Without the stupid ending, this would be a legendary game imo.

At the end of last year we had the most amazing TvZ's we've ever seen. (Jjakji vs. Leenock and MMA vs. DongRaeGu.)
Yesterday we had some of the best PvT's ever (the best I'd ever seen, at least) in Jjakji vs. PartinG.
And we just saw an absolutely incredible ZvZ.
2012 is going to be a fantastic year.

I feel like this season's Code S games are so ridiculously spectacular. From yesterday's Parting PvT to one of the most epic ZvZ in history, GSL is really getting better.
