Mouz never loses a ClanWar. It's a law of nature.
Mouz for the win with biGs spanking Beastyqt for the show.

So this is starting now? Possibly the two strongest teams outside of Korea duking it out. And this is the first time all the matchups actually look good instead of a bunch of mirrors.
Violet > Hasu Aristeo < Thorzain Kas < Mana Beasty > Bigs Kas < Thorzain
Empire got really nice matchups. Voted for them.
Shouldn't this be on right now?
Event calendar says tomorrow, but the time in the OP says it should be now.
What's going on? Shouldn't this be on now?
Wasnt this supposed to start 47min ago?
According to NASL's website schedule and twitter, this match will be tomorrow. Dunno why it says 2/1 on the thread still :<
Despite both teams being really good, the only match that looks interesting to me is Kas vs. MaNa...
I hope Mouz wins ^^
Oh wow. This is all coming down to Kas vs MaNa in my opinion.
Violet should beat HasuObs pretty easily, Hasu has been slumping hard. ThorZaIN should be way too much for Aristeo. Beasty is probably gonna beat biGs, but no guarantee there.
This should be a sick set though.
All of these matches look great. I'm hoping Mouz can take it.

Yeah this is going to be siiiick

viOLet > HasuObs + Show Spoiler +viOLet has super gosu ZvP and is one of the best players in the foreign community. Hasu is good, but I'm not sure that anybody on Mouz has what it takes to take on viOLet confidently.
Aristeo < ThorZaIN + Show Spoiler +I don't know much about Aristeo, but Empire has been consistently playing him which makes me think they're confident in him. However, I think that ThorZaIN is better in the match-up (stats wise and the fact that I'm a ThorZaIN fanboy ^^), so I think that he has a really good shot at winning it. Aristeo has pretty awful ZvT results, and ThorZaIN generally is a safe player (except that Bo3 against Ret....), so I think he'll have it in the bag despite Bel'Shir being a good map. 2 Rax might be a good idea just because it's Bel'Shir, but I also think that he has a really good shot at the late game so he should aim to win there.
Kas < MaNa + Show Spoiler +I think the other two games will be somewhat predictable, but these last two are airing on the side of uncertainty. Frankly, MaNa has the best PvT of non-Koreans/NaNiwa. Kas is great, but MaNa plays PvT like no other. For whatever reason, he just consistently seems safe throughout the game, always ready for any sort of extremely aggressive move, and as he transitions into High Templar, he continuously wins with better control/macro. That being said, Kas is super gosu and it's a Bo1 in the shittiest match-up, so Kas definitely has a good shot at winning, but edge goes to MaNa.
Beastyqt < biGs + Show Spoiler +Beastyqt is really good and like all Empire Terrans, I think that because their practice is heavily revolved around the ladder, they have a good mentality going into Bo1 series. That being said, Tal'Darim Altar is a great map for Zerg (barring positions where the Zerg spawns counter-clockwise of the Terran) and biGs has proven to be a fantastic ZvTer. His other match-ups certainly need work, but his game against Ryung in IPL TAC showed that he has the potential to be a great ZvT player. Also, he has pretty solid stats in the match-up, despite having played a decent number less games than Beasty, who has fantastic stats. biGs has this unless Beasty gets the right spawns, in which case it goes to an ace. Mouz 3-1 Empire Probably being a bit optimistic (Mouz fan right here!! ^^), but these match-ups are looking pretty good for Mouz. If it goes to an ace I wonder if we'll see ThorZaIN or MaNa from Mouz and Kas or viOLet from Empire. Should be a great series, regardless, as I like both of these teams.
Match for current best team of europe imo although violets pick up kinda ruined it, still no welmu playing is sad T.T as I think hes probably better than aristeo.
Excited for kas v mana though always an awesome game, think it will prob going to ace with thorzain v kas, which is a big chance for kas to avenge his loss in TSL!
so....when is this? it says feb 1 at 9pm eastern.....but nothings on

My bet is 3-2 empire, i'd be surprised if viOlet didn't take his game and Kas should take his though that's a little more up in the air. If it goes to an acematch, i think both violet and kas can beat anyone on the team. Will be very close though and of course Mouz should by no means be underestimated.
I like both these teams so much I dont know who to personally go for XD

I think this is either going 3-1 Empire or 3-2 somebody, depending on Kas vs Mana.
Nice banner, by the way.

Kas vs Mana will be the essential match. If Mouz takes it there will be a ace match if they don't It will be 3-1 empire.
hm 3-2 or 2-3 but it will be decided by an ace match imo

It depends, when the games were played. In the last matches I saw from him (Playhem EU on Monday and yesterday), he looked like he got back into shape, especially against Zerg. He took Nerchio apart pretty convincingly for example, but Bel´Shir is a good map for Zerg, so Violet is probably the favorite.
Should be a close series overall. Hoping for Mouz.

I feel the same way.
Hope for mouz but this looks like a clear 3-1 for empire with only Thorzain winning for mouz.
expecting empire to win 3-1
also, bel shir beach twice? :D
At least MaNa don't have to PvZ again
Should be close, cant wait.
3-1 for Empire with only MaNa winning :o
Gonna come down to the ace.
(Z)Violet < Bel'Shir Beach Winter > (P)HasuObs Violet is a beast in ZvP and althought Hasus best match up is PvZ as well, he is kind of slumping recently. The map should favour Violet as well, so this should pretty much the most predictable match of the series, although on a good day Hasu can obviously take out almost any Zerg player.
(Z)Aristeo < Bel'Shir Beach > (T)ThorZaIN Thorzain is just a incredible strong Terran player and although Aristeo seems to have improved a lot recently ZvT seems to be his worst match up, so Thorzain might not be reachable yet. Map should favour Aristeo though, so i think it could be very close.
(T)Kas < GSL Daybreak > (P)MaNa What an incredible match ! It stands out of a series full of high quality players. With MaNa arguably having the best PvT in europe and Kas arguably having the best TvP in europe, it's just impossible to predict. I give Mana the edge just because i think that Dayabreak is better for the Protoss and might fight very well to MaNa.
(T)Beastyqt < Tal'Darim Altar > (Z)biGs Beasty is a very unpredictable player as he is able to pull of extreme strong chesses as well as playing a long macro game, which is why i give him the edge here, but biGs could very well beat him if it comes down to a macro game.
An ace match is really unpredictable so i won't put time into that but i coud very well imagine Violet versus MaNa with Violet winning.

Should be a great night of games
Btw. Its EMPIRE night. They cast both team league games at the same time...

my adequate prediction .. mm.. I think 8-0 for Empire
That's gonna be pretty close... Violet > Hasu Aristeo < Thorzain Kas < Mana Beastyqt > biGs
That's my guess, and I don't know who is supposed to play ace match ;d Rooting for mouz though!
Yeah, I think I'm gonna jump on the 3-1 train. Kas vs. MaNa will determine everything *dramatic voice*
Picking violet, thorzain, and beastyqt. Kas mana could go either way
It's going to be close, almost certainly going to an ace match. Violet and Kas should win their games, and if Beasty wins his match Empire has this, but Thorzain is heavily favored against Aristeo, and if Mana and Hasu can pull out wins it's going to ace match. Hopefully it will be Thorzain vs Kas to see who is the best foreign terran.
Empire 1 - 3 Mouz imho HasuObs, ThorZain and Mana will win their games
I can see Empire winning with these matchups as well, 3-1 imo.
btw Bel Shir twice? And different versions even. ;o
gogo mouz! I think these are the 2 strongest foreign teams!
Damn why Aristeo, Happy has such great TvT...
This is gonna be very close, top4 foreigner teams
I don't understand why Empire never puts their strongest line up. T_T. With Aristeo instead of Happy they might even lose this.

Same with mouz. No Hasu against Liquid, no Morrow against Empire.
I think this matchups are really bad for mouz.

when clan war was played Happy and hob8ot were in a trip, in Rome. playing some 'closed show-matchesd' for empire's sponsors
I guess MaNa vs Kas will be the most interesting game imo. hope too see some really intense games! gl both teams!
These team battles are reallly cutting into my playing time.
Both teams are stellar and both teams strive to have an excellent "team". I am going to say Empire takes it.
Two of my favorite teams playing :/. Well at least one them wins the game. Awesome games incoming anyway.

This is funny you can watch empire in both teamleagues at the same time.

It's kind of frustrating to see the terran win the battle like that and be completely unable to attack.

Fifth Terran win (in a row) is the charm... TT

You act like the fact terran can walk over protoss 5 battles in a row is a bad thing
edit* 6 now

Ok, the Mana vs. Kas game definitely lived up to expectations. Best PvT I've seen so far in 2012.

Well, once terran controls perfectly like Kas did, protoss really cannot win in a straight-up engagement.
wow what the fuck Kas you are good
Sick game, glad I watched it! Very well played by Kas!
Did I miss Kas v. Thorzain??
lol at all these cries about how terran needs to win multiple late game battles vs protoss before they can attack a protoss base because of how quick protoss reinforces. they completely forget the fact that terran can survive on just 30 SCVs late, late game because of mules, pushing up their army supply which is the reason why they can win those multiple battles in the first place.
each race has its pros and cons. live with it.

as i said, 3-1 for empire) the only lose is aristeo < thorzain, very predictable

Yeah winning battles without much micro no stutter steps, quite strange to see him come out ahead in so many of those final fights when often less than 50% of his M&M were actually firing. No lategame drops, losing a dozen command centres. I agree with Grubby, it's very sad.
This is relative to watching Terrans at the GSL of course.
