I'd like to mention that since Jjaki broke the "lousy GSL Finals" curse, maybe neither himself or Leenock will succumb to the "finalist suddenly playing terribly and dropping to Code A the next season"...curse.

I find it interesting that people say that Sen has a decent chance to make it through. I won't downplay his skills but the fact that ZvT isn't his strong matchup while his group contains players with 76% and 64% TvZ win rates in Korea doesn't exactly evoke confidence.

Jjakji - The one nobody expected the guy had amazing talent in the finals and I expect well from him this go around.
Ganzi - I like SlayerS (bc of Boxer) so i like Ganzi he has talent and I think he has alot of potential.

Anybody but Jjajki advance plz!

Is this srs?

He went from being barely known, only playing in the Korean Weekly for an underfunded team that was making itself known through the GSTL to beating Oz and Leenock, winning the last GSL season of the year, making his parents proud after they flew down to see him play in an incredible series and gaining attention from sponsors not only for himself, but for the rest of the team as they have many skilled, unknown players.

How could you not want him to do well again?

Jjakji was not only playing in the Korean Weekly, he all killed a team in the GSTL.

To be fair, that was the foreign FXO team, which was composed mostly mid-tier foreigners at best. Still, imo Jjaki is a pretty good player.

We haven't seen much of Jjakji's TvT lately but if he beats Sen I'm pretty sure he'll advance quite convincingly

If I'm not mistaken, no GSL champion has ever lost to the player he picked for his group in the following season. I'd love for Sen to be the first but if Leenock couldn't beat this guy then what chance does Sen have T_T.

boxer vs sen rematch!

Hey wouldn't it be the best GSL ever if...

Boxer, now having beaten Taeja to get into Code S, also beats Ganzi to advance to the next round? (With Ganzi failing to pass)

And then Boxer defeats MMA in the finals?

That would be fucking sweet.

yea but on the way to the finals, chances are slim that he only gets Terrans. prolly one high calibre Zerg like DRG or Leenock would take him out before he gets there.

I feel like I don't mind anyone in this group advancing. SlayerS love, Jjakji is awesome and Sen is Sen.

But BoxeR winnig the group would be the best of course. ^_^^^^^

I heard Jjakji and Leenock got to pick then the rest were randomised? Anyone confirm?
