Why You Should Care - In the Twin Cities, MGredground wins everything. Undefeated in the CSL, MGredground is our little taste of pro gaming, and spearheads our incredible CSL season.



5. The Dark Horse

Why You Should Care - You might remember a while back when Liquid.Tyler said on State of the Game that he was a player who could rise to the top with minimal practice. Ssok takes this to an absurd degree. Veterans of Minneapolis Starcraft recall Ssok at the 2011 TPG Open, chatting up top-seeded player Nozick. Setting a friendly mood, Ssok coaxed out of Nozick his most feared PvP build (3 gate blink stalkers). Later in the finals, Ssok crushed Nozick three times, using that very build. Whether smarter or more devious than the rest, Ssok continues to steal TPG events on minimal practice.

6. The Prize Pool

As Prisma posted above, the prize pool has only gotten sweeter. NOS, Antec, CoolerMaster, and MLG stepped up in a huge way to inject life (by which I mean scads of great loot) into midwest eSports. Check this out:
