Like yesterday I will try to provide as many games as possible
right now everyone is in his first game I think later on I can get into other games. waiting for Maker to finish his first game so I can stream him vs supernova.
I would like to ask you to keep the olympic spirit and try to broadcast different players (one game with SLiDeR please!). So little games are broadcasted that it would be real pity not to have chance to see variety of players. Best are going to advance anyway.
I want to request some MorroW games when he is playing. Especially MorroW vs HuK game!!
MorroW is our only representative at WCG even tho we have so many great players like thorzain, naniwa, sase etc.. Plz show Sweden some love and give us MorroW games!

Pretty sure Fenix hasn't been in Korea for a few months, he left to go back to take part in his countries WCG qualifier, don't think he returned until now.

Huh, I guess he left around the same time he got kicked out of NASL for complaining about lag. Weird considering he could have been home in a few weeks, still, that's an awfully long break for a pro player from training or performing in anything noteworthy.

Xigua didn't look less impressive and I saw more games of him so far, thus my impression would be that Xigua looks to be consistently good while I only saw one good game of Macsed yet. But ya, Chinese seem to be really strong. Then again, looking at BW they used to be #2 after Kor and in WC3 they were on par with 'em afaik, so no really big surprise at all.
I find it hard to digest that someone in the in-game chat lobby has the handle 'meinkampf' -- or did I just misread that? Seems inappropriate at any time, not just as part of a global event.
Of course, not the caster's (who is providing a marvelous service) fault or issue.

some due but that's mostly been only in BW (but even ret used tvz instead of zvz) but in the gsl morrow would have to pick one. Unless he states it before the tournament but i dont think they would allow it.

It's been confirmed that Morrow will play TvZ in the GSL.

The first attack had like 3 banelings, it was in no way an all-in. He saw a weakness and he attacked. Considering how much damage that first attack dealt Snute would have been ahead even if his subsequent attacks had failed. The amount of units would also have allowed him to take a 3rd and 4th with ease.

How was that an all-in? You mean he should've sat back, droning and let Morrow have a chance at getting back in the game?

Guys not every Zerg attack is an all in =/
this one was .. he had 2 bases i think and no lair and no tech switch behind this, so it's an all in.

2 bases and good saturation. His lair was on the way (and finished before the game ended) and was taking a 3rd at the same time, iirc

im saying the finishing blow was he stopped drone production...
Where can i find a proper schedule for when the different players are playing in this godforsaken tournament? Anyone know when GLsnute is playing next, and who he`s facing? (and if there is a stream) Seems to me like WCG dont want any spectators for this event.. Got to fight for every piece of information.

Morrow was dead in the water, had no wall off at his Nat nor his Main, Snute was ahead in workers, supply, bases, and even in tech (ok Morrow had an armoury, but it was useless, no stim, not even sure about combat shields). Just because he cut drone production doesn't mean it was an all-in. If the final attack had failed, would Snute have been behind? No. He would still have been significantly ahead. Therefore not an all-in.
Morrow gave up map-control/scouting with his hellions, had no bunker or closed off ramp despite greedy as fuck opening and got no quick siege-tank production to defend against early aggression. He dies to anything other than defensive zerg macro-game and yet is really sloppy with scouting/doesn't scan. Not his proudest moment.

OK this is strat is awesome for a FE, really glad koreans are starting to use hellions more TvP, and SuperNova can totally give MVP a good series if he gets placed 2nd...but he won't so =/

yeah, supernova took that one quite easily. the protoss player wasn't really doing much with his phoenix's. could have harassed a bit more (pick off reinforcements, take out a few scv's). these unknown foreigners aren't doing too well compared to the koreans.
and...it's also fun casting the game myself in my head lol.
I don't see why one would get Phoenix to counter viking in an bio ball. Phoenixes get outranged so they have to hover above the ball and get shot down even faster...
I wonder, if MacSed's composition might have worked better in the hands of a superior player. I don't know why, but seeing Phoenix Colossus again got me thinking.
Supernova was infinitely ahead so it was pointless in that game, his army was bigger, composition more developed, better ups and he had his third much sooner than MacSed did so that game was going south no matter what. But I wonder if given different circumstances if that composition might not have been much stronger
On December 09 2011 13:57 Tachion wrote: beautiful push by supernova, and it certainly didn't help that Sed's phoenix were out of position.
In fact SuperNova was about to retreat again, then saw with his marine that the Phoenix' were on the other side of the map and knew the colossi or the nexus would be exposed. Basically that fail movement by the phoenix' (and the scouting marine on the other side of the map!!) triggered that push and lost him the game instantly.. -_-

It could have worked if his Phoenix was not so out of position. Supernova spot the Phoenix down at 3 o'clock and decide to engage immidiately at the 11o'clock position. By the time the phoenix made it back only one Collossus remains

I think it would have worked against tanks, but not versus bio (see my point above). Maybe with more phoenix harass...?
This is the reason Protoss never does anything fancy- it just gets raped by Terran. MacSed would have lasted a lot longer had he just gone for standard "boring" colossus deathball. I think he was expecting a 1/1/1 also and Terran EZPZ tech switched.

I see it in a lot of PvT's from Korean streams lately, but the transition phase makes P almost as vulnerable as pre-storm HT's and if you go for a phoenix expand, many Terran timings can just straight up roll you because you're devoting so much gas early into a gimmicky offensive unit until you get colo out to hold your expo.
Regardless nice play from supernova, and I'm definitely still impressed by macsed, looking to get out of the group as well!

problem, terran?
If it's so easy, try playing that at Supernova's level. Hate that attitude. Also Supernova never went for 1-1-1 but rax->fax->cc->2nd rax. That's not even close to be 1-1-1.

His Phoenixes were waaay out of position when those Vikings demolished Colossi, nothing else. No need to discuss balance from this game. period.
supernova mid game transition, when to make buildingsm when to be safe, scouting, tactical decisions were all superior really outclassed in everyway, it wasn't a racial imbalance it was a player imbalance

Not really, he just killed like 1/4th of p's eco with 3 hellions like 6 min into the game. After that he was just way, way ahead and riding the victory home.

he couldn't do anything, the moment he did what you suggested he lost his 3rd and the game. The reason macsed went pheonixes was because he thought there was gonna be 1/1/1 and went for the counter play, which was blind since he couldn't get any useful scouting as protoss.

It would be awesome if major tournaments played maps reskinned to match the weather/climate/season of where their playing.
