people loved her because she was ridiculously hot and she legitimately tried to understand what she was doing, often asking questions that literally screamed "TEACH MEEEEE".
I personally still hated her as a host, she should have been given a debrief for her to study so she could at least say intelligent comments about certain players. That combined with her wanting to actually understand would have made her a decent host imo.

Lindsey got her fair share of negativity, although mostly it was directed at NASL for employing her rather than at Lindsey herself.
If she had been dragging people off to play some kind of kiddy basketball game I'm sure people would have been less understanding though.
