Minigun vs Incontrol just aired. Minigun took it 2-0.

Gordon Hayward Fighting~!
Wait is DeMu seriously playing random? lmao
Trimaster vs Spanishiwa up now! It's cool how the 2nd stream also gets player booths
On October 07 2011 04:56 Badfatpanda wrote: Wait is DeMu seriously playing random? lmao Doubt it. I think the Playhem bracket system defaults to most-played race on that account, which probably just means Demuslim likes to goof around on the NA server as random.

Great idea opening this 2nd thread, might mod edit the first one with a warning above it to notify players..
Trimaster/spanishiwa was a great first match. Is it possible for both of them to be underdogs?
Also: anybody else notice that Gordon Hayward actually beat a guy named TempO?

Yep! temp0's the guy who does the nice sc2 song parodies

Is Hayward's next opponent KR = KawaiiRice from fnatic? :o
wow this commercial hella trolled us all
Trimaster is choking hard ;;
trimaster falling apart, I'll say it.
pretty exciting game between trimaster and spanishiwa
Damn they completely missed Spanishwa taking out the orbital in the main...
worst observing ever for this game

Yes... that's KawaiiRice :p

Ahhhh yeah seriously. I thought Hayward was supposed to be around plat or diamond level? Even though he has been getting coached up.
If tempo is a master level player presumably, that would be VERY impressive from Hayward!
Wow, it never ceases to amaze me how much stuff terrans can get out of two bases..
The casting by HD and Painuser is very bland and riddled with inaccuracies. For instance, in game 2 of trimaster vs spanishiwa they were so focused on trimasters build and how he was in such a terrible position from it that they completely didn't analyze spanishiwa's play (and primarily the late 3rd + serious lack of drones.)

Tempos plat

why do we need two threads FFS? Stop doing that.

Terrible creep spread too. That was obvious on the map and they never mentioned it.
I really want Incontrol to advance through this. He's my favorite player and I want him out of his slump!
That was a great match. Trimaster and Spanishiwa pretty evenly matched, and both very entertaining players.

Because this is for the open bracket? Its for the people who are interested in it.
So who took the series between Trimaster and Spanishiwa? It sounds like Spanishiwa?
Liquipedia hasn't updated yet and all the posts in this thread are just VAGUELY suggesting Spanishwa won lol

Gordon Hayward plays vs Kawaii? Thats sad and it makes SC2 look bad =/ There is hardly any player who represents the stereotype nerd as precisely as Kawaii -.-
On October 07 2011 06:15 Elefanto wrote: Incontrol didn't make it =(
What do you mean?
He is in the losers bracket against a guy who just 9-0'd FartSlime in TvT and is therefore probably really tired. How could he be out already?
Wow. those games with spanishiwa and trimaster made me clinch the whole 3 games. LOL GG go Mike!

Ha! Yeah I think Kawaii kinda plays into it intentionally though
But either way, is anyone going to really notice? It's not like this is getting broadcast on ESPN (yet! :D). Plus who's to say Gordon Haywood gets broadcast at all?

Haypro facepalming and looking nervous.
YOU CAN DO IT!
I BELIEVE IN YOU~!!~~~!!!!

So much criticism on Haypro for being on low supply/high money when he was clearly waiting for tech to come up :/

Bracket 1 & 2 are just more stacked than 3 & 4, anyhow the brackets looks incredibly empty. I'm surprised not that many people showed up to grab $1000.

To be fair, as nice as Kawaii is, he does look like the stereotypical Asian nerd, and I guess his point is that a lot of random viewers without experience in the esports community will just be like "lol what a dork game" to people they know. But whatever, weird people will be weird.

You're an idiot, there's no reason to be so insulting towards KR. What are you even trying to say? You're either a troll or an asshole, either way, get those kinds of comments out of here. You don't even know Kawaiirice, yet you completely insult him, why? Kawaiirice is one of the most exciting players in the world in my opinion, he regularly gives us great games with his phenomenal micro, and he's incredibly talented. Hayward would get crushed by any pro, I really don't think what the pro looks like would have any kind of negative effect on Starcraft 2. Come on, be reasonable.

Amateurs won't have much of a chance, and for pros paying a trip and then maybe win 1000 dollars just to go +/- It isn't that tempting

The brackets do look kind of devoid of exceptional talent, but I see enough good players in the brackets that the top 16 should be filled with decent players that can compete with the other 16. I see a ton of no-names, but there are a lot of players like Kawaiirice, Puma, Kiwikaki, sheth, etc. They probably won't be challenged on their way to the top 16, but I think that they still could do some damage once they get to the main bracket.
actually I was really surprised that there are so many BYE's in a 256 player open tournament.

DeMuslim fighting. Guy is gunna wreck shit in the open bracket

thats good, because you can watch Mc vs Ret till end
The panel has just started.
Looks like the press conference after a formula one race.
Stephano on the location: "I like to pee before games so I like it."
Is there a popout feature from the grand master list of streams on the IPL website?
So much meta-game, this is hardcore.
WTH is on stephano's head?
Stephano is definitely struck by jet lag... First event out of Europe, gotta learn the hard way ^^
The meta-gaming between Idra and White-Ra was quite amazing indeed.
That guy who should lead the discussion is so bad.
please put a caster up there if u do this again 2morrow.
I think it's Raelcun (I caught a glimpse of his badge earlier).
Lol, raelcun chiming in with his usual map qq because he didn't make it.......... sigh
Edit- Yes it's Raelcun
What's the panel with stephano, white-ra, huk and idra all about? Just a q&a?
Yes it's a Q&A. I find it quite interesting overall.
Haha, Huk going into US politics.
HuK calling IdrA Greggors is killing me in more then one way
WHAT THE HELL KIND OF QUESTION WAS THAT?
Should pro-gamers focus on being sexy
Why is raelcun leading the discussion.. so amazingly akward I dont know what to do with myself.
So much silence and just the panel looking at raelcun waiting for something to be said.
Edit: Indeed, please let Djwheat run that shit. He's a professional.
who moderated that panel??, it was a great thing but only every 5 minutes.. in beetween it was as exciting as a sedativ, if you have djWheat there, why not get him all up in that shit?
Please do this again I will watch it from start to end but get some one one on moderation who doesnt put me to sleep. thx, love your content IGN

That was hilarious with Idra White Ra HuK and Stephano. i love those guys, they definatly have some terran hate lols.
couldn't play. He's but a wee lad.

Leenock was replaced by Inori
Latest from the Open Quals Room:
KR > Kiwikaki Artist > Inori I believe viOlet > Machine DeMuslim > CatZ PuMa > Minigun
Yeah go Kawaii, you can do this!
Gordon Hayward 0-2 KawaiiRice
Go KawaiiRice! I hope he wins the whole thing, or at least has an impressive showing. I really think he can be one of the best foreigners in the world :D. I thought they'd show a lot of open bracket games, but they didn't end up showing many of them at all, I wonder why? They were more meaningful than the pool play matches in my opinion.
Is there a vod of the panel? missed it...

Who is this Artist guy? Did he come from Korea or is he a Korean living in the US?

From Korea. Originally with fOu. Left and joined Rain and is supposedly studying in the US. He's basically a lesser version of Rain.
