LOL at hjop, desrow and G5 all in the same very small area of the bracket and whoever gets out of it running into some random prime member. aaaaaand it's reporting socke lost already, ho hum. bye allocation also seems really odd, shouldn't get a bye to round 4 if two people are playing in round 2
I am casting with a friend, we have followed dimaga's early rounds and are now casting from replays. Check us out here: http://www.twitch.tv/cheeseheadlogic
I played awful all games today, even the rounds I won I didn't deserve. this was cute though;
[2:08:18 PM] Marc-Olivier/ desRow: thefuck [2:08:20 PM] Marc-Olivier/ desRow: how did u lose [2:08:20 PM] Marc-Olivier/ desRow: [2:08:25 PM] Marc-Olivier/ desRow: i was all scared of u n shit [2:08:28 PM] Marc-Olivier/ desRow: now i play some random kid [2:12:26 PM] Rob Griesemer: LOL
So wait, what's going on? I'm a little bit confused, as is Dimaga.
Are the semi-finals and finals going to be cast later in the day? Can't they be stream cast by someone else live? Kind of kills the fun to have a tournament live all the way then suddenly not cast the semis.

They always have been from reps, TL provides guest account so they don't get spoiled.

I usually watch them at random times and have never followed one from start to finish. That's just bizarre to me for an open tournament to have it live-cast up till the semi-finals and then call it a day for everyone watching. I don't really see the point, Dimaga sort of raised this issue as well.

I would also like to know why they can't cast dimaga live
EDIT: Oh i know... they don't want people tuning into dimaga's stream as it steals viewers from theirs. But why again aren't the games cast live? Due to minutes of delay from actual game to stream?

Believe me his english understanding is REALLY good. He understand everything, just speaks not very well..
I just wondering why TL can't cast semis and final live..?
First of all. To the admins of TL and this open tournament: All the foul, nasty words in the english language. Second of all: Dimaga should be able to stream and cast his games real time. Third of all: See first of all.
Can someone explain why admins forced Dimaga to terminate his stream?? He thought to just ignore them at first, but then decided to comply. Kinda sad that he had to send off six and a half thousand viewers packing.

Because if something happens ingame like lag and other stuff they can be avoided. Also to provide some sponsor support or something like that. This has been ever since a BW game when there was huge lagspikes and everyone was upset.(if i remember correctly)

they always do it this way. prevents cheating and they have an official cast at the same time each weekend there is an open. People are used to it this way and many tune in just for the semi's and finals.
We always cast the semis and finals at a certain time from replays. It is currently not feasible to stream the tournament live.
I understand this is the first time some DIMAGA fans are watching and may be angry that we have to shut off his stream, but it's either stream until semis or have no tournament.

IMO
Same reason why GSL wont let you recast their stream. It a sponsored tourney therefore they must get as many viewers as they can in order to satisfy the need of the sponsor. No Viewers= No Sponsor No Sponsor = No Tourney

No. It has been stated a long time ago that TLOpens would be replay casted for semi and final because of stream cheating. And it also gives a lot of other good stuff with them, but the big thing is stream cheating.

The TL Open rules state that Ro4 and onwards are cast as part of the official TL Open cast. Having players stream their own games opens the possibility for cheating to occur as well as undermining the official cast as the results will already be known. This applies to everyone who streams, not just Dimaga.

Well most major tournaments are casted live so strange..^^
It's probably about the risk of stream cheating and making it more..eh..official. I don't mind waiting like 30-60 minutes or so for the semi to get showed.

I don't remember any other participants being forced to turn off their stream for these reasons. I don't see anything like this in rules either. The only thing about streaming is that you can't watch one while you play.
Oh yeah, and what is the official stream anyway? Is it RageQuit?
It's very funny to see over 6000+ viewers were kicked by TL. All your featured streamers have only half of DIMAGA auditory. Sorry for mistakes and YES I'm RUSSIAN SPEAKING!

Drewbie stopped his stream as well. RageQuit is showing old games right now. The official stream is something like TeamLiquidTV iirc.
In terms of rules:
TL will designate "approved" observers who will be allowed to observe and broadcast games.

huh destiny has 6k? and these are the rules players have to follow when doing a tournament ;l
It is nice to see Drewbie and TT1 do well today. Both of them seemed to be in a bit of slump lately and hopefully this can be tipping point for them. Also, it would nice to see in semis how much has the Korean ladder helped Drewbie.
TL puts on a tourney and they deign to cast their own semi / final matches? WHAT IS THIS FASCIST BEHAVIOR!?!?!
I can't fathom how you can seek a sponsor, host the bracket, have a prize pool and allow people to stream their open play but then refuse to allow them to stream the semi / final matches!
I mean, think of all the famous tourneys that allow you to do that? THINK OF THE RUSSIANS.
Which American is in charge of TL? I will demand he is fired or else he / TL will lose my respect.

All streamers have to shut down their stream if they reach the semi-finals. Official observers are allowed to cast up to Ro16, players and official observers with a long stream delay are allowed to stream up to Ro4, and past that no one is allowed to stream to eliminate all possibility of stream cheating.
Thanks for reply, but why isn't anyone streaming there then?

Why are you so angry? Relax

Unfortunately Dimaga disconnected after Game 1, and has not returned yet (it was over 1 hour ago). He didn't say anything and we can only assume his internet went out. Thus per our rules Hack moves onto the finals, really sucks but nothing we can do.
Beautiful play out of Dimaga. Love seeing a zerg make use of the terrain for once, locking in the marines while still having enough surface area to take them out.

Yeah nobody is more disappointed than we are, we waited for 1+ hour but he didn't come back so there's nothing we really can do. He's still not back online now.

Do you read what we said?
He is still not back right now. Remember, this is cast on delay that means the finals are being played right now and we're casting from replays. There's no word on when he'll be back, it's been over 90 minutes now. It's simply impossible to wait for 2 hours while the other finalist just sits and waits and our cast is infinitely delayed with no guarantee of him ever coming back? No choice.

Drewbie clearly got some lag problems. Either that or he can only get off 1 emp with 4 ghosts and no HT. Still won though because chargelots aren't actually good vs marines.

I don't want to argue about your decision as I think its completely justified, but have you tried to contact him on Skype or the likes of it? As he is online there.

It doesn't help when you manage to emp your own ghost in the first place lol.

Nothing can really be done in situations like these, shit happens. Oh well, unfortunate for Dimaga and unfortunate for the viewers who would have certainly gotten to see a great series and potentially a sick Dimaga final.

He is online now but the Finals were already done by the time he came back anywhere (on Bnet, Skype, etc). We are replay casting. Dimaga said himself his internet went down for 1 hour, so he was not on Skype.
Maybe I'm just used to watching players like MVP or MMA, but I'm not really impressed with Drewbie's play...has there really been much improvement since he went to Korea?
So what's with the stream? I've tried loading it several times now over the last hour or so, and all I ever get is a single blurry frame and zero loading progress :/.
Why does drewbie refuse to mech? Has he not seen any TvT for the past 2 months? Does he think the patch changes really affected hellions that much that you can go mass marine? Like seriously. Mass marine. Into blue flame +seiged tanks. Thats like standing in a psi storm with a collosus shooting banelings at you...

God I like the observer. He tells a better tale then the commentators just with his cursor. <3 Thanks for this time. Too bad Dimaga could not play it through.
Ugh, Dimaga was all set to take this TL Open. I really think that he is the second best Zerg in the world, barely (and I mean just barely) behind Nestea.
Unforunately he never really gets a chance to show it. He did great in the GSL World Championships taking out July and MVP, and defeating Nestea ZvZ, and won Assembly.

The problem with Dimaga is that he can look invincibe in some tournaments, and then go completely off the radar for months before making another big splash. He really needs to work on his consistency issues since he certainly has the potential to be one of the best zergs in the world and stay up there.

Hahahahahaha.
Do you have a counter argument? These kinds of posts are obnoxious
Wow I was watching dima's stream he coulda taken this easy... damn shame. I think honestly dimaga is top 5 zerg in the world on a good day.
People who are around his skill level or better: Nestea, Losira, stephano, nerchio, july, coca
TBH there are alot of code a zergs who are good too but idk I got alot of respect for dimagas zvz, its what has stolen alot of online tournies from stephano :D

Dimaga is good, but 2nd best Zerg is quite a stretch. There are a bunch of good Korean Zergs (Losira, Leenock, Curious, July, DRG, Coca). I do think he has a lot of potential though. Would love to see him in Korea.
