Cant believe theres so much hate in these threads while we're so blessed with a wonderful event, with wonderful games. Last warning, whine and insult the players or commentators? See you.

Most of you would find something to whine about no matter what.

I think this is how you beat the heavy mech style. Either no marines/vikings or not enough if you dedicate yourself more to it, and then they have nothing to counter banshees.

Winner's bracket advantage? Seeded players might have an advantage but in what way is the Winner's bracket put in an advantageous position?
Haha, this tourney was a win win for me. Two of my favorite terrans with different styles getting something out of it. MVP, showing the world he's back. MMA, now in code S, where he belongs. GOOD TOURNAMENT!

You want to deprive us of a possible 2nd Bo3 between MMA and MVP? You are a terrible person and you should feel terrible
I apologize for being terrible but I don't like it when people bash my favorite players calling them names like "overrated" and "undeserving".

Yes.. if he loses though, MVP wins.
I think it becomes a 2-1 bo7 extended series if MMA wins this bo3
That would violate how double elim works though. What would be closest to some extended series and keep double elim, would be if MVP had started a BO7 with 2-0. Which would make the score 3-1 to MVP now, meaning one more game for MVP and he wins, while MMA must win 3 in a row now,
They never played before though.
It's not extended series, it's regular double elim rules for finals turned into a BO7.
In a normal double elim finals, if the winner bracket winner wins the first BO3, he wins the tournament. If he loses, they've both lost one BO3 so they've got to play another one to determine winner. The only difference between two BO3 or one BO7 where WB player starts 2-0 is that with two separate BO3, the lower bracket player could win two BO3 2-1 and win the tournament, but if it was BO7 it would be over when WB player got his second win.
