Yeah, he might have been able to hold, but select still had a 3rd cc if imba micro saved whitera.

As a huge WhiteRa fan, he wouldn't necessarily have won if Charge did finish, because Select wouldn't have engaged.

Indeed. He played a very nice series there, as did white-ra, but select edged it in the end. High quality, enjoyable starcraft match. No complaints here.

such weird ads lol, the gaming cell phone is the weirdest

How is select lucky? He knew whitera was going for charge because of the zealot count and didnt have it yet so he targeted down the council. I dont see how that is luck.
|
unfortunate that happened to white-ra. I feel like he underestimated the 1st drop, considering he already saw it beating on the pylon by the edge. gg to select though.

He saw the drops killing the pylons, why not defend? This. Why is no one blaming White-Ra for moving out to try and take out a third of SelecT's army which could fit into the medivac anyway? He got a marauder kill out of it. Sure SelecT was a bit lucky, but luck is a huge part of this game. White-Ra pretty much played so greedy with the double expand that was scouted pretty quickly by SelecT.
White-Ra was bad with handling drops in the first two games already, which ultimately cost him the game 3. It had little to do with being greedy, he would have done well enough with Charge + Archons.

I don't understand how Toss can not have a huge advantage over a terran when you take the gold base at the 8 minute mark. doesnt mean anything if you dont have a combination of atleast 2 of the following: charge/archons/+1 upgrade atleast/collosi you need atleast 2 of those together to have a chance vs terran army past early game thats pvt for you LOL
Or a lot of sentries that aren't EMP'd.
Zealots and stalkers are absolutely garbage against Terran MMM in a straight-up fight unless you have a significant upgrade advantage or charge. They need the backup of other units.

Exactly, it always goes either deep in the back or at the top of your ramp.

TLO vs. Sheth is coming up!

Oh why oh why?!
The final day starts just with a big disappointment. Its a shame that Mr. Ra is out, damn U Select!

Just to clarify, when I said 'Whitera needs to use the resources again for the upgrade', I meant it in a way that whitera was having to pump units with the resources he got back because his zealot legs werent done. Then when he had the ability to get the research again it was going to be a big hit to his army.
The timing was crazy good from SelecT

it was the fact that he got it like a second before done and if white-ra chronoboosted it he would have had it i think (i don't think he did chrono it), and also how white-ra reacted to it poorly. He did chrono it, it was just so tight. Thats what she said j/k

On August 01 2011 03:00 Tula wrote: that was a realy stupid mistake by white ra.... After he saw that his pylons were being sniped he should have warped in at least 2 stalkers to cover his council.... He must know that without it he has no chance. One bad mistake and your gone... He warped in 3 zealots to defend right by the council, but put them into the same control group as the rest of his army. When he went to the west to snipe off one of select's flanks the zealots were pulled as well, and they couldn't defend the twilight council in time.

no just medium quality is free

Same thing happened to MC v Puma where puma purposely snipe the council and eventually roll the toss army over with concussive shell.
I think terrans will start to learn more about these timings and purposely snipe the key tech that protosss relies on (charge/colo/etc): this opens up a game winning timing a minute later.
