the fact of the matter is that DRG is very stagnant with his ZvT style - the fact that these terrans are metagaming DRG is a bigger influence than any proposed "imbalance."

I did. He's not. Both games he won he abused the map with mutas.

You could easily say that in MMA's wins he abused the map with marine DPS... but that would be equally moronic.

DRG is actually an awesome player all-around, which you'd see if you watched his GSTL matches (where he's like 12-1 or so) or the other series he's played at this MLG.

Actually not equal in any way, considering marine dps has absolutely no relation to the map, where as mutas most certainly do. Keep the incorrect statements coming!

Marine DPS is much more important on small maps because they can quickly get to the Zerg's base and wreak havoc. Zerg is usually in great shape if they haven't suffered major damage from early pressure. BF hellions alone aren't useful against a smart zerg -- comboed with 8 marines they're scary as hell because you have to target fire the hellions, allowing the marines to unload their full DPS on everything else.

Also, controlling mutas the way that DRG did in game 2 is not easy at all.

There's a pretty good case to be made that DRG may be as good as Losira, primarily stemming from the fact that his televised record is absurdly good. He has dominated the GSTL, won the LG Cinema tournament in June over sC 3-2 and was playing great during all of MLG, losing narrowly, 2-1, to two absurdly strong players (note: MMA defeated Losira handily in MLG Columbus).

That you would sum up DRG's success as merely abusing mutas is BEYOND moronic. That you continue to defend it is just absurd.

LOL that could be said of any unit. "X unit is much more important on small maps because they can quickly get to the zerg base and wreak havoc" I didn't say his whole career is abusing mutas, but the 2 games he won were on dual sight. Coincidence? I think not.

DRG owns Dual Sight. That's just hit map.

Um, it's every zerg's map. Its almost an instant win unless you are outclassed hard.

The fact taht Code S is more than half Terran says more than a championship match does. Nestea is 1 good player, code S is over 16 good Terran ones.
