Cant believe theres so much hate in these threads while we're so blessed with a wonderful event, with wonderful games. Last warning, whine and insult the players or commentators? See you.

top 7 all korean trained. LOL

wait you mean practicing a lot with really good players means you will place high in tournaments?
THIS IS CRAZY

This.

I really wish people would stop acting like Korea is some magical land that pumps out talented players. You don't need to go to Korea to train and get better. All it is is diligent, smart practice and discussion. Not 3 hours a day, 1/3 of which is streaming ladder games. The notion that "it's all because of Korean training," is absurd. That kind of work/training ethic can be applied anywhere.

Except Korea is where the best players are, you aren't going to get better by stomping Incontrol in your team house even if you do it 10 hours a day. In the ladder you will face every all-in imaginable from people who have the timings down to the second after doing it hundreds of times. You won't get that on the North American server no matter how diligent you are. There's a reason people like Naniwa and Thorzain want to go to Korea instead of just going to some foreigner teamhouse, despite the potential problems that can put in their life.

I must admit Koreans have been sending much more terrans than protoss/zergs. But then again did you see the super world tournament? like ro16 and 2p and 1 z. Not much to do about it ^^

Who cares about nationalities?

Top 6 is all amazing players. And Boxer is in the top 3.

I don't see how anybody could lose interest at this point.

Try all the fans of the other players..

Just becuase Barcelona got some of the world best players doesnt mean Im gonna watch them play. Welcome to sports btw

NN all hope boxer win it all

That just means your not a real football fan.

I like baseball but I'm not a Yankee fan.

Guess I'm not a baseball fan.

Darn.
you're not, koreans can offer the best starcraft in the world right now , if you're not interested in watching high quality games because you wanted that foreigners, with lower quality games to duke it out, you're not a starcraft fan.
personalities are important dont get me wrong but they dont mean everything

I'd also like to add that Starcraft:BW and Starcraft 2 have a major difference in that in starcraft 2 people shouldnt worry about "Korean vs. Foreigner" even tho this is fun to have a rivalry from SC:BW the big thing is that SC2 is a INTERNATIONAL game and not seperated by nationalities unlike BW where koreans lived in korea and foreigners never saw/heard from them other than in streams watching OSL/MSL guys just enjoy the games they will be epic. Who cares if top 6 is korean they share the same passion we do. So the big thing im trying to say is: Why can't we all be "starcraft 2 players"?

People root for their hometown players.

You and a hundred other posters can pretend that logic and love of the game dictates who people want to win. It's just not true. Foreigners want to see foreigners do well. It's a big deal to a lot of people to see our own get completely shut out in brutal fashion.

So apparently everyone's hometown is the entire world from Ukraine to Canada, just excluding Korea.

Yes just excluding Korea. The Foreigner scene is the subject here. Hometown team was just an example.
It's spelled LOSE not LOOSE.

True, this crowd is a bit lack-luster. Columbus crowd was about half the size, yet cheered their asses off.

Yeah the Columbus crowd made it much more hype.

I said that yesterday too, but seeing that Jinro nuke video, I think the... mics(?) aren't just as close to the crowd as at Columbus. That being said, booing a player is a huge thumbs down for me either way.

Who did they boo at?

uhhhhh. You wouldn't want to see the reactions from them atm.

Quite rage-inducing for TL'ers here IMO.

If it's something like "Koreans are better than white dudes" half of us here are already saying it lol

Ah what the hell. Might as well give you guys a gist of whats going on there...

They are making fun of Milkis for being visibly nervous and generally unprofessional during BoxeR's interview.

Oh man, I had to click that spoiler, now I want to punch a wall.

I dunno about you TL'ers, but for Koreans, he's just another translator, I guess. :/

Goddamnit Naniwa...

LOL I guess he didn't wanna be embarrassed.

In the last MLG there was pretty much each and every consolation serie that ended in a forfeit. Players don't care about if the end up 7th or 8th, or whatever below the important positions (code A spots and such).

I've noticed this as well. Crowd seems weak as hell.

Yupp, like no cheers at all when the winning player comes out of the booth and no emotions at all during games unless Day9 gives them hints. ,o
