All those kids in this thread here should realise that every code S player either went threw harsh qualifiers + full code A run or being fully consistend and never droping out of code s .
Aswell as being very high in ladder.
All those code s players are clearly good at some of their aspects wich allows them to compete vs the best .
I think even a Hongun vs Byun finals would be awesome to watch.
Also MC isnt superior to Hongun if as stated Hongun tryed to avoid 4 gate , cause im struggeling with that aswell.
I basicly just see a thread with 20 pages full of QQ about who drops out.
Funny was even back then TOP or Thebest ? i dont know anymore who got so much hate that he even said in a interview i dont want hate i want support.

Terrible analogy. Tim Duncan is dubbed "boring" or "unlikeable" because of his extremely solid and cerebral fundamentals and approach to the game. The guy is also a huge (but subtle and devious) whiner. Artosis would be all over a player like that. NesTea is like the perfect incarnation of Tim Duncan.

Don't like ZvZ at all but i want a ZvZ final so that i can go to bed early and the tradition of terrible GSL final continues (Nestea will roll Losira).

So I hate Byun now...knocked out NaDa and Bomber. Is this gsl of the no namers making it far? Tester and Byun? Okay okay sorry fanboys Tester was a beta star and Byun got silver in Code A but seriously I would much rather see NaDa vs Bomber...

Hmm, so I leave mid way through Game 2 where Bomber pretty much treats Byun like his lapdog, and then I come back and he's lost 3-2... How were the games?

It has nothing to do with balance. PvP and ZvZ just don't make for great finals, tvt is the only tolerable mirror imo.
All the zvz finals I can recall all were a big letdown (though, morrow was involved in most of them and his zvz is...).
Also, gsl has had a single code-a pvp final, that doesn't really count as a proper final.

HongUn is one of the most succesful protoss-players, hell, players altogether around. He is - as far as I recall - the only one who has ever used a carrier-build successfully in GSL, he has been the first one to use double forge play into chargelot/templar in a GSL PvT when everyone and their mother used colossi.
He hardly ever produces epic fails, even the games he loses are normally somewhat decent performances. He plays very safe and - despite in horrible PvP - tends to avoid 4-gate-ing.
He might not be as glamorous as MC or - for us foreigners - HuK, but PLEASE for the love of Mother Teresa, give this guy a break.

This season has been awesome so far, let's hope the finals will be as epic! Hoping that it wont be ZvZ though, ew.

Woke up and looked through the spoilers to see if my boy Byun won. Saw Bomber won game 1. that's ok. Game 2, not ok. Game 3, ok Byun took one. Game 4, comeback? Game 5, fuck yeah Byun! Guy beat MVP, sC, and Bomber TvT in this tourney, what a boss! One of my new favorite players!

Why are you guys hating on hong un? He is great and in most of his interviews he says that he will try to make fn games... In his interview from the last round I think he said that he probably will retire if he can't make exciting games. Hong Un is a great player and very colorful he was creative when all MC did was all-in everyone and he still is now.
