Yeah MC isn't that great, winning multiple GSLs and foreign tournaments is nothing. Plus an 80%+ winrate in PvP pssh that's weak.

Long term better PvP shows through but in a one off game anyone can win.
When both players do the same build, whats random?

Artosis read this thread during the break ;p

yeah, similar to how aggressive poker players tend to win lots of money while passive nits donate. there's nothing smart or challenging about being aggressive -- and doing it well.

It's a legit concern.
I agree, the way starcraft has been played for the past decade is definitely bull shit. It unfairly rewards players for practicing!

Tasteless and Artosis totally know what the nerds are thinking right now. This forum is full of "MC VS NESTEA BEING STOLEN FROM US NOOOO".
If Hong-un wins this, hopefully this will revitalize his career.

Did Artosis just say MC won NASL?

Players are becoming more greedy as the PvP metagame evolves from 4gate cause people have figured out anti 4gate builds, and as some people have said MC is sometimes a greedy player.
I think Hongun is just straight up 4 gating to punish him for this MC has four gated in both games. a 24 probe four gate is not the same as a 20 probe four gate.

Wow... Man if HongUn wins I;m not sleeping tonight...

Just got up.
Check the results of the Nestea game - 3-0 in a ZvZ, standard. Check the results of the MC game - 0-2 in a PvP, WTF IS GOING ON?

Oh hell yes, I'll take that. Never underestimate Byun especially if its TvT Or with a big, critical game. Byun really seems to preform best under pressure. Then again, bomber just saved his team with near-reverse all kill last week in GSTL. Never underestimate Bomber in anything ever. Bomber vs Byun was the most anticipated matchup for me in the ro8, but this one is possibly taking over due to sheer shock

You seem to completely forget Bomber, Byun, Losira, and a powerful Trickster.... Bomber: Died to destiny recently and has gotten spanked by him before. Losira: Nestea's son Byun: Only really interesting one. Will likely lose Trickster: No Byun will crush Bomber. No way lol. Byun is one of the most underrated players in Code S. I am a huge fan of his play. Did you see him in the group stages? It's not like when he does well it's a fluke. I don't agree that he will crush Bomber, but it is definitely not out of the question that he can win the series. 3-2 or 3-1 Byun wouldnt be unrealistic. 3-0 probably would. And have you seen Bomber play? The only chance that Byun beats him is that the 5 maps are metalopolis, and I am not even sure that Byun can beat Bomber like that... There is only one player who can say : "hey I have beaten Bomber BoX TvT" and at that time they were the two terrans dominating everything else.

Hongun predicted that an engagement will occur in the center with the 1st warp of stalkers and decided to warp in zealots to take advantage of that.

this is sickening. First Rain fucks up an epic finals in Season 3 by taking out Nestea. Now MC on the verge of going out to Hongun -.-. Guess the GSL can't handle the power level of two gods facing off ;;
