May not be viable as we could vote for a player who is not available so it would be a wasted exercise.

Because I rarely watch any of the smaller EU tourneys, I would never have seen a player like Nerchio without watching the first Shoutcraft Invitational. I like having the dark horses in the fray, and if the community was to decide each player, we would miss out on some underdogs that help generate an interesting narrative.

However, I would enjoy a vote between two players for the final slot in the tourney, with the loser getting a guaranteed spot in the next Invitational. That would be a fun popularity contest where even the loser gets something down the road.

Why can't select micro against banelings?

He is repeatedly letting large chunks of marines die...

We are actually planning on doing something of this nature for SCi3. We'd like to invite community favourites and let them duke it out on the grand stage. We'll see how this develops.

I love this idea, it's shaping up to be an incredible online monthly tournament from the effort you and TB are putting in. Whoever said TB does this because he is a money-grabber can go eat a dry biscuit. He does more than people give him respect for, you can see from the donations how much the community commends TB.

According to what i read from some posters on TL, the NA/EU Lag is actually not that bad, so SelecT should be able to micro.

I would rather guess that he is exhausted from the 50 minute game.

MorroW might be the first zerg to put true anti drop defense in his expansions. Mass spine without sometimes an infestor or some banelings.

For me it's a ping of about 130-150, so less than half of KR to EU lag

at least there has to be a reasonable system to explain who gets an invite and who not, to avoid misconception in the community and specially between the players

I've been seeing that happen to a lot of top terran players in the lategame. I don't really understand how that happens.

Why so many Corruptors?

Also, pretty crazy donations. $500, $500.01 and a cool $1K. Next tournament is going to be absolutely epic!
