Sadly after all this time with so many tournament threads it still is not clear to many users on this site. There are several types of posts that are not acceptable in tournament threads. Any form of:

Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining

Will result in two day to a week long bans even for first offenses. Please stick to the games at hand and enjoy yourselves with a beautiful event such as this and the free service that comes with it.

Wonder why they kept Bo3 in the Ro16 and didn't go Bo5. Seems like they have more than enough time and I'm sure the players would rather lose a Bo5 this far into the tourney than a Bo3.

Can someone explain to me why HuK, a player who has performed well in SC2 for a long time, is a Code A/S player, training in Korea for a while now(obviously good enough to stay there and train) is such a shock to people that he is doing well?

I mean, he should be doing what he is doing so far or it would be a head scratcher that he is still in Korea in the first place. He just doesn't play enough tournaments outside of GSL for people to realize how much better he is than A : Before he left, and B: compared to foreign players not training like he is.

He is doing exactly what I'd expect a player in his position to do.

Who is shocked he's playing well?

I am.

Storm would be useful about now.

If bomber wasn't still in the tournament I'd say that Sen has a VERY good chance of winning it all. Bomber is going to pose quite the challenge for him I feel, but it's not something he can't win.

I feel bad asking this, but...who's Sase and when did he come from virtually nowhere to dominate the group stages?

He was a rather good swedish warcraft 3 player. Been owning the ladder lately, but hasnt been in any real tournaments.

Thanks!

I probably should've just GUESSED he was Swedish, it's probably a safe bet, lol.

Alright since nobody is LRing MaNa vs July:

Crossfire - MaNa at the north spawn, July at the south spawn.

3:30 July getting ling speed, hatch at 20. Mana opened 1 gate, gates 2 and 3 at 30 supply.

6:00 MaNa expoing with 5 sentries 1 zealot, hallucination on the way. July teching to lair off 2 bases with just lings at the moment. Taking up to 3 gasses now.

7:30
July researching burrow. MaNa adding a 4th gate and a cannon to his expo. Robo now on the way.

8:50 July: Hydra den, 3rd base, ranged attack, roach speed all on the way. Mixing drones and roaches with his larva. Hydra range too.

Mana: getting +1 attack. Colo den on the way. Stalkers filling out the army.

11:20 Mana with 11 stalkers, 2nd colo on the way, some sentries, a zealot, colo range.

July has spire almost completed. 4th base on the way. ~30 unit army with hydras, roaches, lings.

13:20 July: 7 corrupters on the way. Roach burrow movement and ranged attack 2 coming out too.

14:00 Mana engages at July's 4th (the gold) and WINNING the fight. All colo go down but MaNa left with a handful of stalkers and 3 sentries.

15:30 July managed to follow up with an attack when MaNa retreated. Did really well with his roaches to make the supply ~160-85.

16:20
July now 180 food. Mana 110. Mana has cannons at the third base but July overruns them with ~20 roaches. Takes out the third base. MaNa now on TWO bases, July on 3, getting the 4th back.

Because somehow getting far enough in Code A to get to the Up/Down matches, then getting to Code S and then beating MMA in the next Up/Down matches means Huk sucks.

These are not my thoughts, but a thought that a large part of the community believes.
