The sport I am most familiar with is basketball, specifically the NBA and not all players congratulate each other at the end of games. Esp. during a regular season game. Basketball is an emotional sport and you're not always in the mood to congratulate the other player esp. if the game is just coming to an end. Lebron is notoriously known for refusing to shake hands after a loss during a playoff series. (Although hes probably not a popular pick for an example right now =p) I'm not defending the guy but im not going to bash him either. From my perspective it wasn't that big of a deal.

Idra being some sort of a "PR genius" is just the next big fallacy in a long line, following the classic ones like "he leaves the game when he knows he lost", "he's unbeatable in a long macro game" and "he would have won that if Zerg was balanced". I don't think anybody is expecting him to change his attitude at this point, but that doesn't make it any less shameful.

If he gg'd to boxer because he's a big name it would be wholly inconsistent and make all the games where's he's left without gg /actually/ insulting to those opponents. Just my two cents. WP to Boxer, wish I could watch the VODs.

"Here, don't gg so people will forget that you lost and just talk about the nogg" "Here, quit that won game so you'll have an excuse for non winning that title" That made me laughing haha. Idra show some respect to BoxeR, without him your sc gaming career wouldn't even exist ![]()

People actually spending 35 pages talking about IdrA's bm won't make him change the way he is. And that's what makes IdrA an icon in the SC2 scenario. His attitudes, his ragequits, it's all part of the show! Boxer is a Legend and I for sure know that he knew that cheesing was the best way to defeat IdrA. This is not some friendly showmatch, this is NASL and what counts in the end is having those points, doesn't matter how you managed to get your victory.

They are held up as examples of why its not important, since the millionaires do it less and less. Sorry, but using people like him to excuse what has long considered to be appropriate behavior in Starcraft is barking up the wrong tree. I have read about 100 posts explaining that GG is not a discussion of how the game went, but rather a congratulations to your opponent for beating you. Those 100 posts are invariably followed by YET ANOTHER bm-kid saying "Why would he gg when it was NOT a good game?" Failed reading comprehension.... Yet another sign of the times...
