So tired of these idra zerg whiner fanboys who call any strategy that doesn't let zerg build nothing but drones for 10+minutes and autowin with a 200vs100 supply "skill-less cheese" and act like the zerg is always so much more "skilled" just because of the basic playstyle of the race. Banshees? "cheese". Helion harass? "Cheese". Marine + tank 2 base push? "Cheese". Basically any strategy that wont let zerg play as greedy as they want and max out minutes ahead of their opponent is apparently skillless cheese, in this realtime STRATEGY game. Not realtime simcity game. Macro is great and all, but denying macro is a part of the game too and a well balanced approach that embraces, utilizes and prepares for all aspects and timings is the most strategic despite what the wannabe-elitist whiners here claim. Fact is, I'm no pro gamer and even I know that hey, boxer does this 2rax proxy poke/push all the time then floats back. I knew before the games that it was a likely strat and I'm not the guy whos supposed to be preparing for my opponent. So if idra's pathetic teenage bad manners are some how "ok" because boxer did proxy 2 raxes then you fanboys clearly don't understand how competitions or strategy games work. Idra should be raging and badmannering himself if anyone for not doing even the most basic of research necessary to know that boxer does this opening all the damn time and to be prepared for it. Youd think an allegedly great and smart player would understand this basic concept of knowing your opponent and not acting like any strategy that doesnt just let you do whatever the hell you want all game isn't worth being ready for. Not to mention, 2rax didnt even win boxer the game in game 2 it was a longer "macro" game so its can't even be given as an excuse not to gg. Anyone with half a brain can see what idra is trying to do with his pathetic game quits and bad manner, hes trying to portray the notion that no one beats him "fairly", he never gets outplayed or outthought or outmicroed, he only loses cause of "cheese" or "imba" (which is obviously not really true) and his pathetic self-serving definition of the two are in reality any strategy that he wasnt prepared for or which screws up what he was planning to do as if this is a single player game where hes the only player that matters. Its a pathetic attitude and unfortunately his attempt to get some of you on board with it really seems to be working with people now defending his badmanner/early rage quits. Thats why idra will never as great as people want him to be or act like he is, because he is too arrogant and immature. Honestly, he would be better off doing something like setting world record high scores in a single player game like donkey kong, where he can always play the game how he wants to rather than have to adapt to the opponents he thinks he's better than just cause hes somewhat mastered ONE aspect of the game that he snobbishly thinks is the only important one (macroing).

Idra fans can defend him all they want, but showing disrespect to a person that made your profession/fame possible is never in good taste. It's not like he actually cares about the community. This won't deter his attitude nor actions in the future. If anything, this is a good example to those on the cusp of becoming known to show respect where it is due. The fact people feel respect is not something that should be shown is.. sad. This whole thought process that being a whiny baby (the bad guy?) is good for esports is also.. sad. Playing the bad guy only works for so long, especially if your results aren't living up to your infamy.

Do you really think it matters? i personally dont think you should have to gg if its a shitty game (which if i fail at defending a bunker push, i would consider that a bad game) usually it dont matter. but in this case it does. he is facing boxer. the emperor himself. should show respect to him imo. after all...SC would not be what it is without SlayerSBoxer himself. Please show Boxer respect at all times. On June 13 2011 15:12 NoRedRider wrote: I actually like Idra. But not gg'ing the Emperor earned him over 9,000 douche points. haha^ feel the same way. I like IdrA and I am sure he just let his rage get the best of him and he insta quit. It happens, and we all know IdrA *insert troll face* is very susceptible to rage inducing cheese. I bet IdrA still HIGHLY respects Boxer and would kiss his shoes. Maybe ![]()

If no one went on about the GG thing or TT1 trying to be relevant this thread would've fizzled out after the broadcast. Nah, they would be still complaining about something if Idra lost.. even if none challenged them on their delusional beliefs -- imbalance, maps, casters, lag, be my guest...

If there is one guy in whole e-sports that deserves a GG it's the Emperor. Never disrespect the guy literally being the reason SC and e-sports is what it is today.

Watching American movies, I thought the American hero usually had a lot of heart and fighting spirit. Idra is basically anti all that. Worse of all is that Korean article describing Idra's "cool" demeanour. They already know Idra is raging inside, why does he even bother to act cool and emotionless. It's because SC2 is not mainstream here in the US, most of Idra's minions account in the few hundreds(a few thousands even), but that's a lot for such a small -- though growing -- market as is SC2. Most of them are probably teenagers who are bullied at school and see in him(Idra) someone who looks like them -- he wouldn't stand a couple of punches from a girl --, behaves like them -- pretty antisocial with an attitude that turns off most pretty girls -- but unlike them is somewhat successful at an early age, so they look up to him.

As matter of fact, Idra said his favorite game is SC1, does he even care about respect or public opinion? 2 public figures have no class today, Greg and LeBron.

To top it all off idra doesnt give a fuck so why make a shitstorm? do you think it will make a difference?

You think because he rages in a game that he's anti social and everyone hates him in real life? Get a reality check and realize internet, especially on a video game doesn't = how you act in real life rofl.
