We will be moderating harshly in this thread. Think twice before you post. Things we are watching for: image macros, balance whining, "eagles", player bashing etc. We encourage civil and reasoned critique of our moderation - please post it in the website feedback forum.
Please don't complain about MLG stream quality or MLG itself. They work very hard to provide you with an enjoyable service.
Enough with the racism discussions, this is a LR Thread. Cut it out. -- updated 7:55 KST |

HuK is better, sorry sweedie! no lol Has Huk beaten anyone in Code S that wasn't a really shitty player? He usually gets a shitbag of players for his up and down matches too. He has beaten MMA in the up and down matches actually. But I still think Naniwa > HuK easily. Until Naniwa goes through Code A, gets to Code S and stays in Code S, you cannot say he is better easily.
Haha yes, you absolutely can. Naniwa won MLG Dallas going 26-2 through the Open Bracket leaving a massive trail of nerd bodies in his wake, placed 2nd in TSL3 (which Huk got knocked out of in ROUND 1), and is guaranteed a top 6 placing in MLG Columbus. Meanwhile Huk has been in Korea for what, 6 months, and his best showing in GSL is placing last in his Code S group. Sure he beat MMA in Up/Down but that hardly compares to Naniwa's results.

It is already looking like it will be all Koreans in the final, BORING!!!!
I would have rather seen epic matches like Idra VS Naniwa or other western vs western matches. As it is it will be korean A i don't care about vs korean B I don't care about. Your fault for only "caring" about your own countrys players then. Open your eyes and appreciate that the BEST players can battle it out in MLG, or would you rather prefer a B-league where the trophy has no real meaning since koreans weren't allowed? I don't only like American players, I like EU players as well, but I just don't care much about Korean players. I know I am not alone, perhaps I am a minority in a hardcore community like TeamLiquid, but there is a reason SC1 was never (really) popular in America, and it is because the average western viewer has no desire to watch Koreans roflstomp everyone. There is also a reason that so far SC2 has exploded in the west, because so far Western players have played each other and had a good chance of winning. If the Koreans start dominating everything then I think a lot of western viewers will get bored and stop watching. You should probably stop being some weird racist and just enjoy good play.
How is this racist? It's like saying you would rather watch MLS rather than a euro soccer league

Yeah, bringing in the best players in the world was SUCH a shitty move by MLG, wtf were they thinking? /sarcasm. you're an idiot.
it is a little disheartening to see the best foreigners getting dominated so hard... but yeah, europe and the americas aren't going to get as good as the koreans without playing against the koreans more. i'm glad to see the level of play being taken up a notch.

Poor guy, I wanted to see him in code A Did you follow Tzain in the TSL? He was the underdog in EVERY match - and still won! I look forward to ever match of his and NEVER underestimate him.
I did, but I can't help but feel like he's just not going to come out of this. Extended series rule vs MC screws him over first and formost. I'd love to see it happen but I just can't picture him getting out alive.

There's now vastly more people that got introduced to SC through the second part. 70% might be an exaggeration but it's a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot

Man the HQ streams have been complete shit all weekend long. Maybe because it is free? I would never pay for this kind of lag.

I remember the first MLG event that had SC2 in it, they had no chairs and only enough space for like 10 spectators. Now they can't get enough chairs for everyone lol
