I am a huge HuK fan, but I don't think that is a fair statement for Naniwa. I think a fair statement is to say that there is 3-5 top foreign Protoss vying for the best Protoss title, and Nani has an edge in some peoples books, whilst HuK has an edge in others. White-Ra and Kiwikaki might also have a claim to this as well. Either way, I think it is fair to say they're all close in skill, and all very good.

I saw MC pressure Idra in the second game friday - had he chosen to focus the hatchery, would have been a serious problem, probably game winning, for MC. And yes, that protoss have stopped completely doing the 5 warpgate nexus cancel, and seemingly the 5-6 warpgate all ins (has any protoss done it this tournament?), means that you can drone in peace. Which is what zergs wants. Some protoss seems to believe that they can just get out the 1 voidray 3-4 phoenix to kill the third, but that has been solved by zergs. Early blink stalkers, charge zealots with heavy sentries, DT's, warpgate with +1 attack, is just harder to deal with. When protoss goes forge fast expand, they will, around 40ish food, be ahead of zerg in workers. If at that moment, or soon after, they switched to heavy army, they'd be golden because most zergs at the moment are almost blindly going for 55-70 drones before making many units after spotting the expand.

Ahh okay, yea that is the only notable player he has beaten. He got raped in his pool play last season too.
He also beat MMA right before the patch hit and did some cheesy all ins so I don't think he could beta MMA again.

I would have rather seen epic matches like Idra VS Naniwa or other western vs western matches. As it is it will be korean A i don't care about vs korean B I don't care about. Are you serious? really? I'd think your first time placing you'd need to finish higher than that to get in the rankings. Most of the ranked guys will stay due to the structure and several open bracket guys have gone deeper than him.
