We will be moderating harshly in this thread. Think twice before you post. Things we are watching for: image macros, balance whining, "eagles", player bashing etc. We encourage civil and reasoned critique of our moderation - please post it in the website feedback forum.
Please don't complain about MLG stream quality or MLG itself. They work very hard to provide you with an enjoyable service.
Enough with the racism discussions, this is a LR Thread. Cut it out. -- updated 7:55 KST |
MLG: Idra vs MMA up next on the Red stream. The crowd here is so large you can't walk through the aisles, and it's bleeding over out of the StarCraft 2 area and spreading out over the venue like nerd creep. Lol @ nerd creep :D

I really want IdrA to win and shut up some korean-loving mouths.

Or Ret. Haypro has been much better than people expected. The guy has got skills for sure. Ret is on par with korean zergs for macro, not saying he's as good as Losira overall tho, obviously.
Slush is never an easy win for anyone, the guy just wins game.
And PvZ has been really tough lately. That said Naniwa can beat all 3.

He has beaten MMA in the up and down matches actually. But I still think Naniwa > HuK easily.
Until Naniwa goes through Code A, gets to Code S and stays in Code S, you cannot say he is better easily.

Yes he did, he held off an all-in game 1 and I forgot what happened next but gotta give HuK props for winning that series. Still think Nani is better though.

I loved watching MLG because it was a tournament to see the best Western players battle it out live. Now that they brought in the Koreans there is no more chance of crazy upsets like we saw in Dallas, where an unknown comes to win it all. It is already looking like it will be all Koreans in the final, BORING!!!!
I would have rather seen epic matches like Idra VS Naniwa or other western vs western matches. As it is it will be korean A i don't care about vs korean B I don't care about. Your fault for only "caring" about your own countrys players then. Open your eyes and appreciate that the BEST players can battle it out in MLG, or would you rather prefer a B-league where the trophy has no real meaning since koreans weren't allowed?
I don't only like American players, I like EU players as well, but I just don't care much about Korean players. I know I am not alone, perhaps I am a minority in a hardcore community like TeamLiquid, but there is a reason SC1 was never (really) popular in America, and it is because the average western viewer has no desire to watch Koreans roflstomp everyone. There is also a reason that so far SC2 has exploded in the west, because so far Western players have played each other and had a good chance of winning. If the Koreans start dominating everything then I think a lot of western viewers will get bored and stop watching.

Kind of confused by this, when a player exudes a small amount of confidence (IN THEIR OWN ABILITY) it's often interpreted as being a douche or arrogant?
Some people are just being really silly :\ it's not like IdrA is the most mannered person, blind fanboyism?

He played nice the first game and held off and all-in from MMA. But the second game he just 4-gated and won.

Nerd creep that's a good one, sounds like everyone's having a blast! Think I'll go to the Dallas one next year, although idk if anything can top this one, so many people and a great venue from the looks of it.
