MLG Columbus Day 3 - Page 141

We will be moderating harshly in this thread. Think twice before you post. Things we are watching for: image macros, balance whining, "eagles", player bashing etc. We encourage civil and reasoned critique of our moderation - please post it in the website feedback forum. Please don't complain about MLG stream quality or MLG itself. They work very hard to provide you with an enjoyable service. Enough with the racism discussions, this is a LR Thread. Cut it out. -- updated 7:55 KST

Still, it means that he's that much more unlikely to be in the MLG end-of-the-year finals since going through the OB isn't an easy task. Socke has a bit of a chance of maintaining his pool spot, I haven't calculcated the odds but I think he could potentially hold it. Needs players like Idra, Naniwa (people already gonna be ahead) and the Koreans (people who probably won't be returning) to have super tournaments, and guess what, look at the top 4. On the other hand, he's going to need a lot of the people looking in (Thorzain, Major, KawaiiRice, Fenix) to lose ASAP. I think Socke will have a pool spot left when all's said and done if he goes to Anaheim.

Select went 0-5 in group play, but everyone would agree he is a much better player then most of the players who finished 2-4 th in the other groups. You cant argue that the players in group 1 and 4 was pretty god damn lucky. Gretorp was kinda a walkover for every player, drewbie aint very good, slush/fenix is allright and they got the worst of the koreans aswell. So yes, I feel pretty terrible for the players who didnt do well in group 3, cus they had an extreamly hard time compared to the other groups. Yea the whole MLG system is designed to allow as little movement as possible. It's quite sickening. Not only the whole group system but the way they seed after the groups into the bracket play makes it super hard for movement since you just playing the same people you have played before thus you have an uphill battle in an extended series against them. It's so terrible it actually makes me super angry. How anyone can condone this kind of unfair system is ridiculous.

Terran are kinda homey, people naturally gravitate to them, and i feel Zerg are pretty iconic so people would gravitate to them in the same way. Protoss to me are kinda there in the middle. Thus i believe it is only natural for players to play a non-Protoss race, irrespective of balance. Also when Zerg is deemed to have been buffed, i think people will flock to Zerg because Zerg is badass for the same reason further solidifying Zerg's larger playerbase. That's just my perspective, odds are i'm completely fucking wrong and there's millions of people who love the shit out of protoss. Hell, i might love them too if they have the Reaver.

It especially sucks because the points are cumulative for MLG. lol I think whitera is playing showmatches or tournaments in taiwan for the taipei computerx exhibition. If is the tournament he could win couple thousand dollars where his only competition is sen.

Sick competition + free (with few lag complaints) HQ streaming, and the world's best english casters (tastosis, day9).....haters will hate, but it hasn't gotten any better than this in sc2 (thus far). Can we stop with the stupid memes? It's overused to death.
