We will be moderating harshly in this thread. Think twice before you post. Things we are watching for: image macros, balance whining, "eagles", player bashing etc. We encourage civil and reasoned critique of our moderation - please post it in the website feedback forum. Please don't complain about MLG stream quality or MLG itself. They work very hard to provide you with an enjoyable service. Enough with the racism discussions, this is a LR Thread. Cut it out. -- updated 7:55 KST

Guess I wasn't the only one that doesn't care about the results of a bunch of random koreans. yes.. random koreans. they are random. july, mma, MC, and losira are random koreans. truly random. gtfo Since I don't watch Korean SC2 in the middle of the night I have never heard of any of them. They don't stream, they don't do twitter, they are never on any of the SC2 shows, western viewers have no attachment to these players. Then don't watch? What do you want? Not let them play because they're better than the players you know? Let Idra win the tournament because he is someone you know? And Koreans do stream. They do do twitter. Not your fault you don't follow them. Not in english. Yes, I wish the biggest Western tournament would not invite any more Koreans. If they want to fly over and own the open bracket with their own money then go for it. But giving them free flight, free hotel, free placement, just so they can sweep the money and kill the western scene, that makes me angry.

I am confused. Results Because foreigners do stupider shit. You'll notice that it looks like there are absolutely amazing games in stuff like the lower end of Code A then as those players get higher up they get crushed and look stupid. It's because when it's lower level v. lower level mistakes are not as obvious or exploited as well.

Idra behaves as he does and gets treated as such. Yes because Idra has been SOOOO bad mannered in tournaments,yes...yes.... He flipped MC off. and he has a history of being a complete asshole online. Online and real life behavior aren't separate. If Idra wasn't a jerk to Koreans online then he wouldn't get trash talked in real life. Idra sowed the wind and he reaped the whirlwind.

Pro Circuit Players Competing in the GSL - At MLG Columbus, the Top 3 non-Korean finishers will each be placed into GSL Code A. - At every 2011 Pro Circuit Live Competition after MLG Columbus, GSL placement will occur as follows: - Code S status will be awarded to the highest placing player, regardless of country of origin, who does not already have Code S status. - Code A status will be awarded to the next three highest placing non-Korean players. - If Code S status is awarded to a Korean player, Code A status also will be awarded to the 4th highest placing non-Korean player. - All travel and accomodation expenses for these players will be provided by the GSL. GSL Competing at the MLG Pro Circuit - MLG will invite four Korean pro players to each Pro Circuit Live Competition. - These players will be placed directly into the Championship Pools, one into each Pool. - Their placement in the Pools will be determined by their GSL rank. - All travel and accomodation expenses for these players will be provided by MLG. - For MLG Columbus, we will also be inviting a player from the CSN tournament, currently in progress. This player will be seeded into the Open Bracket, and their travel and accomodation expenses will be covered by CSN. Can the OP add this or something so people freaking get it? To add to what you were saying I believe only the top 3 finishers qualify for the code S spot. Meaning that if the 1st place 2nd place and 3rd place all pass it up no one gets it. I do not know what place limit for accepting the code A invite is but im sure there is one for that as well.

If NA thinks they deserve the prize pool all to themselves, then too bad. You will be surprised at the amount of viewerships these Koreans bring to the floor. The whole freaking world is moving, the money is moving around the whole world. IGN league is like my lowest priority, you should know why......

THERE IS NO ROOM FOR A 33th. I guess that for the GSL season after that they will keep a spot open for the next MLG winner. No idea how they will do that with the current up/down system.

Guess I wasn't the only one that doesn't care about the results of a bunch of random koreans. What? Are you implying games aren't worth watching just because of the players' nationality? They aren't "random Koreans" either. So stupid.... Don't reply to these comments.. people watch games for different reasons. I do because I love starcraft, which means I'll be happy to watch koreans at the top if they are truly the best. Other people watch for the hype, and they feel more excited when their homies play. I understand the feelings of many people, although I feel that shouldn't make them miss quality starcraft games. There is no shortage of quality games, what makes MLG and other tournaments special to me is cheering for personalities I know. Just having random amazing players, that don't speak the language, that are not involved in the western scene (don't stream, don't go on shows, don't contribute) I just don't care about their results. A korean wins, which one? I certainly don't care, in fact, koreans will take home all the big money, because they are top 3. so how would you feel if one of our pros went over there and they were giving him shit for these reasons? for the last time, these koreans are NOT FUCKING RANDOM. they are here for a reason, because they're some of the best SC2 players right now. you do not watch GSL if you think these 3 are random
