Its pretty widely agreed the the MLG format is really flawed. It deeply favours players who are top 16 or a Korean invite. This would be sort of ok if the top 16 players were close to being the top 16 players in the tournament, but every event there is a new group of players, with no MLG ranking points, who are better than some top 16 players, but have to fight through the open bracket. I'd like to see the top 12 players seeded in, and then having 8 places from the open bracket and 4 Korean spots. As well as scrapping extended series (its worst when there's a final where one player is up 2-0 and has to win 2 games, while the other player has to win 4 without losing more than 1 game, and then win another best of 3 after that. That's almost the equivalent of having to win 3 games in a row. | ||
