Yeah! Artosis fighting.
OFFTOPIC : Can someone explain to me what is Artosis Pylon thanks.
A couple weeks ago, Artosis had one pylon powering most or all of his gateways and tech, and it got sniped, forcing him to gg. Since then that type of pylon has been dubbed an Artosis Pylon.

It's happened a lot more than once. It's something he does pretty consistently, so it got named after him! He's got a good understanding of the game, and there's definitely the potential for him to get really good at it...but there are simple things that he just does over and over that keep losing him games, too.
It's funny to think Grubby is the massive underdog against Kiwikaki. A few years ago, Kiwi would have a 1% chance of taking a boX against Grubby in an OrcvsOrc. I feel old o_0
Haha I can't stop laughing every time I see the Edwardstarcraft interviews. Not in a negative way. But it's so funny when he stares into the camera instead of looking at people he interviews.
Big fan of mr bitter wish it was him and incontrol casting though. Although incontrol was being kind of a douche to me on SOTG thread yesterday when i called him out on dissing huk for his height
Mr Bitter is nice to hear and fucking handsome :D Don't like TLO's build here, should've 16CC imo. (well, perhaps he would have lost as Moon went for an aggressive build)
Moon with some nice micro during that final engagement. Burrowing the infestors and running them away after the fungal is something every zerg player should be doing.

Gretorp is a genius. "Whatever he's gonna do, there is no war he's gonna drop another Gateway" 3 Gateways instantly.
It didnt exactly go very well though did it so just maybe gretorp was right that he shouldnt have.
When Gretorp said he wouldn't push, he meant that he thought TLO wouldn't because it would be a bad move due to the reasons he said. It got crushed, so he was right.

They're supposed to snipe said infestors. Fungal can kill them but it's an awful lot of energy to use per banshee, and if you sweep fast enough there will be no overseer. Like what happened, though Moon somehow botched his defense, I think.
GOSH!!! i know it did not matter, but why the heck did they not show the banshee kill the hive in Moon's main??? sorry, that just made me upset. good game.
He had reinforcements building at his base, why weren't they rallied to his forward siege line? Why was he supply blocked for like 2 and half minutes...?
I love TLO, but I imagine fatigue was a huge part of this. Games were played monday I think, the day after his marathon, so that would be an easy explanation.

There's no point in this poll, he isn't going to be a permanant caster, he probably wouldn't want to either.
What a douchebag.. We all know he would've gotten stomped hard by Morrow but not even showing up when all these awesome players would've loved to be in this league is ridiculous.

That is the kind of Zerg that i like to watch, great job holding the 2 gate and then just macroing hard. great game by vibe, Rainbow did not play to the best i think.
Wow Vibe SMASHED Rainbow in that engagement. His victory there was just so decisive the game was just about over right there and then. I mean, considering banelings have to kill THEMSELVES to win, you rarely see a zerg win a battle like that so decisively.
Between that and his surprisingly high APM, I'm impressed with Vibe. I may need to start paying more attention to him, I usually don't.

Rainbow can't be THIS bad man. Supply cap, no SCV production, no siege tanks, CC built at 5min expanded at 11min. This can't be a GSL finalist decision making.

They've mentioned Rainbow is playing like shit quite a lot already... No need to beat a dead horse.
Hats off to Vibe, but there were a few mistakes in that game (losing Mutas by directly engaging marines, running into tank fire and then back out again). I don't think it was so much Vibe's play as it was Rainbow's passive strategy that decided the game.

Not in PvP. The lack of a forcefield-able ramp (by force-fieldable I mean with 1 FF) means that you either need to do something sneaky early game or 4gate to avoid dying to one.

Nope. If you can defend blue flame and banshee against fenix you win 99% of the time. Considering Sheth goes infestor/roach in zvt, he should 2-0 pretty easily.

He just really does not know much about the game.. I'm not trying to be rude, just wondering if he'll be in any of the casts in the future. He doesn't really understand preparation either is the main thing I'd say..

30 pages in, is this the first MrBitter criticism? That might be a record. Oh, right, no, we hate articulate well spoken casters, boo, hiss.
Not tastetosis = insta-rage by half the TL community. Nothing you can do.

I think you're getting most of the flaming because Bitter most definitely has high game knowledge, he's eloquent and well spoken, and pretty much a composition of everything live reports claim to want in a caster.

Artosis can't even make GrandMaster on the NA server, Grubby is like top 20 GrandMaster on EU, came 3rd recently at a major LAN (beating TLO and 3-0'ing Morrow along the way) and has won multiple series over top level players (2-0 over Demuslim, Tarson, Nerchio etc).
As for the "only started in January" thing it's a fact, not an excuse. It's only 2 months ago that he was getting owned by mid-master nobodies on his stream, now he can hang with the best players in Europe. He will catch up eventually, just like Thorzain eventually caught up to the ex-WC3'ers who switched much earlier than he did.

I would say in the NASL they are both playing pretty damn poorly with Grubby probably taking games closer off more people. Grubby however has some pretty good results in European tournies and Artosis has none

An opinion is a statement about how you feel about something, and thus cannot be wrong. That's as far as it goes: as soon as you start talking about how something is rather than how you feel it is, you're talking about facts.

Not in everyday speech no, when intonation, body language, and more can make up for that lack of qualification. In writing, it is important to differentiate if you want to be clearly understood and prevent people from misunderstanding you, and failing to do that makes it more your fault than theirs.

If you look at their streams it's very clear that Grubby is miles ahead of Artosis. He executes brilliant strategies, micros very well, has the apm to compete, and his decision making is getting better and better.
Artosis on the other hand looks like he barely belongs in master league. He gets stomped by random nubs quite often and looks terrible.

Ive never watched Artosis stream but yea grubby is fun to watch. Was just a purile thing to bring up a NA rank for Artosis.
Funny thing is that the only reason Fenix got so ahead was because his banshees caught Sheth by surprise (which almost never happens in TvZ anymore and shouldn't imo). If Sheth simply put down an evo chamber when he poked up and saw no landed expo, he could've put down 2 spores at each base and only lost 2 queens max.

He has a 50% win ratio on the NA server, which is notoriously weak. Idra, by comparison, had around an 80% win ratio when he was laddering on NA from Korea and I'm sure any of the top Koreans would have no problem making GM on there, even with the high latency.
Anyway, the point is Grubby is going through the exact same thing guys like Thorzain and Kas did, who took months after switching from WC3 before they were really competitive. The only difference is, they didn't have people pointing and laughing every time they lost a game during their transitional period.
Hey I wonder what an Idra/Bitter combo would be like. Probably pretty decent, since Bitter would be the emotion guy instead of the insight guy. Seems he can do either one but he'd be better at the emotion stuff.
Wow. Fenix just plays so well in his NASL games. I feel like I never see him look this great at other times. I wish I had IdrA's knowledge. He basically predicted this whole game already.

Idra also said he stopped playing on the NA server because the lag was so bad and wasnt good practice there is absolutely no point in even trying to get GM account in NA from korea. Last he played in NA was when he was home at christmas and was changing to protoss.
Anyway my point was that it was purile bringing up his NA rank not commenting on whether grubby is better or not. Thorzain and Kas both played in beta and switched earlier too so yep good point also look out for ToD.

Terrans have to micro their units the most. Hellions and marines in particular are some of the most micro-intensive units in the game, combine that with spreading out and sieging/unsieging tanks and you have a lot of work to do.

Game one was recorded 2 weeks ago, when idra was on. Game 2 (and 3 if it happens) were recorded this week, when mr. bitter was on. Not difficult, people.
I wonder how much Fenix having just defeated a strong player like Sheth is playing into this series. I can only imagine his confidence is much higher now, especially after winning a game against Morrow as well.

And it would need to be, considering Morrow is lightyears ahead of Sheth. Morrow is on the same Zerg tier as IdrA.

I'd put him a bit below Idra. His macro is as good but his decision-making is not as good as Idra's imo.

Yeah, it's not like Morrow has ever beaten Idra on a tournament level with solid play...

I would not say he is light years ahead of Sheth. I would definitely agree that Morrow is the better ZvT player, but that also happens to be Sheth's weakest match up and he is actually solid in ZvZ and very impressive in ZvP. It's hard to say who is better overall, but Morrow has definitely had more opportunities to show his skill (especially since Sheth hasn't shown up to so many MLGs) so I would agree that I feel Morrow is the better player.

I would agree with this. Morrow is the better player, but I'm sure we can all agree that Sheth is improving and it was still a solid win for Fenix.

IdrA is no God.
Did I say he was? He doesn't have to be to be better than morrow.

I've seen IdrA brutally lose on his stream to Fenix's banshee harass quickly followed by 1 tank a bunch of marines. I cannot conclude one player to be "better" than another, but I will conclude that Morrow uses better strategies vs aggressive Terrans.
i was surprised by mrbitter's casting, as I heard him cast solo a couple times and found him not that good at that. Today he did a wonderful job. Keep it up!

Any zerg can lose brutally to banshee strats. Just yesterday, a random terran who doesn't even go to tourneys 2port bansheed him and won. It's normal.

First of all, that's ladder. Second of all, seeing him losing one time is not indicative of anything. Morrow might have lost to that same push, maybe 50% of the time. Just that this time he was able to stop it.
I seriously think people should stop going mad at the person who said that IdrA and MorroW are ''on the same tier''.
Even in a tier, there will be a high and low and -at the moment- IdrA is higher up in this tier. But MorroW is sure as hell catching up, especially in ZvP. His ZvT is probably better than IdrA's at the moment. He also sure as hell is a lot better than Sheth. That he hasn't had ''many chances to show himself'' does not change that, performance-wise.
Just needs a solid ZvZ (which he clearly lacks but IdrA has until recent ZvZ losses in NASL) coupled with a little more consistency and I'd say he might pull ahead of IdrA unless he does something about it.
I like both IdrA and MorroW but really that snapping and putting words in his mouth is just ridiculous fanboyism.
I have to say mr.bitters talks almost identical to incontrol, even in some sayings like "i gotta say:--- So and so is in his back foot---" etc... etc... listen for it

Be wary of things like this please if you are giving live reports. I missed the game but was very interested in Sheth vs Fenix. The portion I quoted is easily read as fenix winning 2-1 (with some premature GG BM) but is incorrect given the way the game turned out.
I do thank you for attempting and for the most part successfully keeping me up with the game but it's just…annoying.

My the mistake I have Corrected it and Thank you for pointing it out.
Nice to see almost perfect race distribution between the top 30 (T/P/Z 9/11/10). But of course might look very different after the week finishes (Ret the only Liquid player )
Only two more week (3 with this one) very exciting

*rolls eyes*
Pre-nerf reaper abuse is solid play?
Yes. Just because it was imba doesn't mean it wasn't solid.

morrows ZvP is the best in europe, while idra was crying how impossible this match up is, morrow developed ling bling drop infestor play and rapes everyone now (in swe wcg he destroyed naniwa)
anyway both player are great and any of them can be better or worser then the other one, it all depends on their shape of that day ... the only thing u can say is that nestea is better then them
Although I put idra ahead of Morrow at the moment, the fact that Morrow is now living in the Swedish practice house can only help him, lets not forget he started Zerg months after Idra

As long as he doesn't start saying "to a certain extent" or something about the cosmos aligning to make his predictions wrong, I'm not hearing the similarity yet
Where can I find the tournament setup of NASL actually? How many players advance per group, what kind of knockout system is there etc? I couldn't find anything about this on the NASL website, if someone could PM me i'd be very thankful.

Interesting observation, I haven't noticed it but it's totally possible Bitter got some of his casting inspiration from MrGeoff.
Just wanted to drop in and say, Mr Bitter is an absolute natural. I know he's probably used to talking about SC on his stream, but a live experience is a little different and he's already great at it. Awesome awesome awesome.

More like he needs to not me dead tired when playing these matches TT. He just casted and did TL:attack on saturday and then did his 24 hour doc thing on sunday. When he was more rested, he beat
Didnt see games vs Moon, but something else to keep in mind is that Darios TvT is FAR better than his TvZ, his TvT is downright MONSTROUS at times really, so much natural affinity for that mu.

His play was simply uncoordinated and overall messy. I've been watching his stream and he can deffo play way, way more solid than he did vs Moon. Pity that he played the series and couldn't bring his 'a-game' (for whatever reasons).

Its like, whatever he does makes so much sense :p
Such a shame for him there are 2 other matchups too Ur right tho, his TvT is sick hopefully TLO can get TvZ and PvZ on the same level one day.

Yeah he is a pretty high ranked Zerg himself and he knows quite alot of the game and since he talks to the pros that play all the other races he knows alot of their tactics aswell.
Gotta give it to MrBitter here, I always enjoyed his 12 weeks with the pros things, and he casted this Amaaaaazingly. Really, really big props to him! Would really love to see him cast more stuff.
