I think a key thing people forget is to just send small sets of lings at the infestors (a lot like sending pairs of banelings in a baneling war) because if they fungal they run out of energy way faster than you run out of money for lings and if they miss even 1 ling that ling kills infestors fast.

Another possibility is to mass roaches with burrow, not for the fight itself but because they can get to the front of the base without overlords knowing. If you catch the opponent even a little off guard with a lot of roaches (especially the burrow kind) fungal isn't enough.

TheWind did good damage with his 6 banelings but he had less of an economy to begin with so the attack made it pretty even.
Violet now counterattacking with several speedlings and loses some to banelings but still has some left running around the base of TheWind, getting out roaches now.
The only thing theWind can do at the moment is defend.
