If you know the results, keep it to yourself please. Be nice to those who don't want to be spoiled.
Thanks! |

Was completely unaware that this event was happening today.
I've only seen 10min but hte production value is pretty amazing. I like the ingame overlay as well.
Now i just need to go back and rewatch the idra/sheth games.

wow unbelievable production! So much much much better than NASL. I am very impressed by this IPL. Great matches, good casting with different casters to mix it up. Good sound...A++

I want to copy that.
9 overlord 9 overlord 15 hatch 15 pool 14 gas
You get good scouting, well worth it.

Thank you I will try this. Didn't have any issues over the last game so perhaps I have appeased the wireless gods
Edit: Yeah I have to chip in with everyone else here, IPL is sick-baller; really enjoying it. However, they might want to try and get the word about it starting out better, as I too forgot it was commencing today. Wheat and TB doing a great job solo-casting, but I do prefer the duo caster style. I think two people can play off each other better.

Yeah, I only realized it after listening to the SOTG podcast today.

You cannot objectively say he's not a very talented caster.
Maybe you want more elite commentary, or you don't like his quick paced style, but he's obviously very good. Eh i agree with you. but there is such a thing as an objectively bad caster. I'm not saying anything TB at all. Just saying it IS possible to objectively have a bad (even terrible caster). Casters who can't get the crowd excited, miss a lot of the action and have no idea what they're talking about are bad casters objectively. TB is none of that. Hmm... Saying its on the casters to get the crowd excited makes me feel sad panda. It just feels like saying if someone wasn't yelling and trying to do a little observational comedy while then theres nothing exciting happening. In my opinion, a good caster is like a good referee. if they do a perfect job, they don't get noticed. You don't get up from watching a tennis match and say 'wow that commentator really kept me engaged!' You probably don't even remember who it was, even if the match was phenomenal. The only way you would notice a caster in any other sport is if they stood out by being annoying or something else that would stand out to you. So yea, for me, TB's antics are a little overbearing and annoying, because I'm not looking for entertainment from a caster, I'm just looking for someone who cares a lot and keeps up to date with whats going on...And maybe can catch some things I would otherwise miss! Except in Starcraft there actually is often nothing going on.
This literally has zero impact on any point I made. Absolutely none. But I'm going to assume you were implying that casters in sc2 unlike any other sport have to fill lulls in action or even complete times of inaction. And the obviously answer is thats not true, in every other even there is a lot of downtime where commentators have to talk a lot with nothing really go on. And even in those cases, my point still stands......

the stream is down for a lot of people, could any one report what happened in the second half of that game?

Seems like JTV went down for Europe. In NA it's still working.

IGN Pro League > NASL so far despite the bracket spoiler, great production IGN!

Between NASL, IPL and Day9 daily, Starcraft II is responsible for 25k visitors on JTV right now.
