I've been pretty impressed with Gretorp and Incontrol overall but I don't think they did a great job commentating on Moonglade vs. Slush. ZvZ is an incredibly tense matchup because zerg early game always feels so fragile but that didn't come across in the commentary enough. If you don't play zerg I don't think it's obvious just how nervous Z players are for those first 6/7 minutes of a game and you need a Z commentator to communicate that properly. I think they've done a good job with ZvT/P commentary so far, but I think ZvZ really needs at least one zerg player in as commentator. For future ZvZs I think it would be great if they could birng in a guest commentator, even if it's only just for one matchup.

Apart from that, another great days play. Nothing quite as exciting as a couple of the previous days games (Moon, TLO in particular) but still highly entertaining stuff.

Gretorp really improved a lot in yesterdays NASL broadcast. I have more confidence in him commentating throughout NASL now.

I really enjoyed seeing Phoenixes get some use in PvP as well

man, that Nada comeback was so beautiful. :D

For those who say dde lost it more than nada won it, i fully disagree. Every1 is perfect with hindsight, when it is in the heat of battle that is a different story.

"[NASL] Day 1-3"

I'm not sure I understand the reasoning behind the name of these threads. I suppose it means the first round of division 3. Maybe something more explicit?

It says "day" in the title so:

Day 1 Division 3.

So first round/day of group 3. That's my take at least.

How are people still complaining about InControl's "bias"? Any bias he said he would have he admitted up front, and at the end of the first game, he said "let's all remove our bias, and clear our minds, and just all say that was an amazing PvP."

Because he admits to be biased it's ok to be biased?
Good reasoning!

Bias is always present. It's impossible to remove bias. Admitting bias allows the viewer to take his opinions with a grain of salt.

Also, somewhere between the start of game 1 and the end of game 3 of the Nada vs DDE games, I'm pretty certain a child was conceived.

I couldn't stop shaking in Nada's game... HE'S BACK!!!!

And also, Great job to gretorp and incontrol. The more and more I hear from you guys, the better you guys get.

However, Incontrol needs to look at the camera more often instead of staring down at his monitor too much when the camera is on them. Just a thought =]

Also, it is understandable to be tired of Korean dominance in general as a Starcraft fan. There are so many good players from countries all over the world adding a lot of color to the scene. And yet, all you hear about is Korea - a somewhat isolated nation with a very distinct culture of people who usually can't speak English, and thus give no interviews. When foreign players do well, and when foreign events draw a lot of attention, the Starcraft scene as a whole moves to being an international practice, rather than some nerdy hobby you practice in Korea.

With SC2 the international fans are finally getting to enjoy the game in a way which suits us better. More countries represented, more diverse players, interviews in English, and major events of interest outside Korea and during more accessible hours. Every foreigner who beats a Korean during this time of transition is a testament to how international and embraced by the whole world SC2 is, and thus it is understandable, and not unwanted for foreign casters to feel excited upon watching such games.

Lastly I'd like to add I think both Artosis and Incontrol do a great job of maintaining a somewhat neutral approach to the games they cast despite their hearts beating for a player in particular. To some extent you have to let a caster put part of himself into a cast, rather than being a robot making sure not show emotion or say something the slightest controversial.

(Also, I suspect Koreans themselves are very nationalistic and biased towards their players, to an extent which surpasses that of foreigners (who right now if for example american seem to love europeans as much as other americans and vice versa <3). I don't know if I'm right but I think I heard Korean pro gamers think it a disgrace above all to lose to foreigners etc.)

May or may not be true...but if so, how much of that is nationalism vs the amount they invest into this game? They basically give up their lives to go into progaming, live in what amounts to a barracks in programs designed to churn out the best gamers and do so for years. How many foreigners do the same?

This. DDE was only in the position he was in because of a NaDa mistake, he wasn't actually outplaying NaDa.
