Wrong. It's Central European Summer Time. Mind=blown. It's in 7h28.

Watching the vods atm, probably been mentioned but production needs work, especially on the audio department. Music, better quality microphones and some atmosphere beeing crated.
Now on to the games, looks great.

Looking forward to the re-streams tonight.

Around 12 at night I'm imagine.

As I live in Australia, I've avoided spoilers alllll day in order to come home, give up $25, and watch the VODs. Only to discover that I CAN'T watch them until AFTER the re-stream is complete.
This means that I have to wait until afternoon the FOLLOWING day (about 30 hours after initial broadcast) to watch the games. By then the TL community has already moved on.
I don't expect an Asian/Oceanic broadcast, but access to the VODs while the games are still "current" would be pretty good!

1. This is a major tournament, there should not be commercial break in the middle of game analysis. GSL takes breaks after 1 game or 2 games and shows commercials during a break from bothe gameplay and game recap. The fact that after every game Incontrol will say something like "here is where the game was lost" and a commercial starts and when the stream is back they are queing up the next game
2. at least one new caster is needed. I love gretorp as a player, he has a great style and interesting games. He is not a commentator. He gets over excited at points of the game that are insignificant, he emphasizes the wrong things in battle, he has tons of awkward pauses in the middle of sentences and even gives off the wrong information during battles.(one example being in artosis vs sheth where he keeps quoting resources lost, and saying how artosis is loosing more than sheth and the differential stays the same. also in the same series he talks about how effective banelings are against stalkers, and is super suprised when a ton of artosis's stalkers survive)
3. Incontrol is a decent caster, he has charisma and isn't boring. Still he is not the best commentator. For such a large tournament, possibly the biggest and most important in the US, they should have the best casters. MLG had a great lineup, TSL has a great lineup, and NASL has an extremely subpar lineup. How can such a big tournament not feature day9, jp, djwheat, or one of the other big name casters in the US? It just makes no sense to me that you can have such a large tournament and not have good casters. Also, Incontrol does not need to address us as ladies and gentlemen everytime we go into a game.
4. what makes MLG so great? a crowd. what makes the gsl so great? a crown. OSL, MSL, all the major tournaments are casted with a live crowd. So it is different since the US is so large and we don't have one giant gaming center where every team has a house for the players to live. The TSL has made it work fairly well, likely due to the casting changes. If the NASL is going to be completely online, there needs to be a variety of good casters in the rotation and currently it comes back to bad casting.
5. Quality production. While the production is not bad, the studio they are in just looks awkward. Also, jtv is great for streaming and I know tsl is on ustream, but something like the NASL that seems to be something fairly standard and the first season is goign to take 3 months or so, they should use a high quality stream product. MLG uses octoshape, GOMtv has the GOMplayer, NASL should have something too.
6. website. I know a website is coming, but seriously they should have had one up already. No excuses here, same thing with tsl 3. It is stupid and really just careless they dont have one already.
I am still going to watch NASL, but things need to be imporved 1. Something has to pay for that 400k prize pool. 2. Somewhat agreed, but that's also something Gretorp can fix, give him a couple of games more, let's see how his commentating improves 3. When you want to start your own business, you want to make it your own, with your production team and what not, not everything can be done with the big games, you also need to let the small fish swim in the pond. 4. Or they can take the other route, which is content off the games, enough to keep the visitors and followers happy. Writing recaps, doing highlit videos, etc. All that can help to keep an audience glued to your show. 5. Hmmmm, wait, are you a paid subscriber or just another whiner you are not getting 1080p for free? Cough up 25 bucks and see how pretty and smooth NASL looks on 720 and 1080p. It's really surprising production values, given how little we knew before the start of the cast. 6. ... http://nasl.tv/ ... has been up for days, same applies to TSL.
I didn't give fully fleshed out reasons on all of this or suggestions for fixes but i will keep it short here and not deal with this any more since I submitted an edited version to NASL
1. yes I understand, but why not take a 2 minute break after 2 or 3 game(each series) and show 4 commercials. Same amount of advertising, not loss of game analysis.
2.yes I agree he can fix things, but it was just really hard watching today. I stopped before the last series.
3. it is called the north american star league, not north american tournament. Ask Incontrol if he wants this to just be another tournament or if he wants this to be the GSL of the US. Small fish can swim all they want, but I had heard they want this to be the tournament, not a tournament.
4. This was more a comment on it just not feeling all there, like something was missing.
5. No i don't subscribe and I'm not whining about the graphics resolution. I watched the first 4 seasons of GSL with no complaint to graphics in game. The fact that their transitions were sloppy and their sound quality was terrible should have nothing to do with resolution.
6. I had heard that it was still the temporary site. The TSL site went up in its second weekend. but with the current nasl site, it is fine for now, but it needs a user interaction space.
the games were good, I especially enjoyed artosis v sheth, even though I wanted artosis to win. I hope he can win next time.

So you are asking NASL to use octoshape, the most hated product in esport?

The VODS has been there for several hours now...

How is NASL played, are the players there in LA or are each playing from his own home location?

Quoting myself, as I need verification. I see that there ARE links to "VODs" listed, but I need to confirm that they are live, and watchable NOW.
As found on the NASL.TV Website
"VoDs (Video-on-demand) will also be made available after every rebroadcast so you don't have to worry about missing your favorite games. "
AFTER the re-broadcast would be AFTER the Europeans have watched.... But people are apparently watching VODs now? Can Someone PLEASE confirm that the VODs are watchable NOW. And what sort of time-line are NASL quoting to have the VODs up in?

i think i will invest some of my € into a pass its for 3 months and its less than 8€ a month. so i drink 3 beers less and i am fine XDD

It was a tempory site until they made a huge upgrade a few days ago. If you feel the need to complain about it, maybe you should actually try to see how it looks and works first... And the way you put it in your first post you made it sound like TSL hadn't put up their website yet... which they have.

For people watching the VODs atm: can someone please tell me if lower resolutions are available or if it's only 1080p?
THANKS

I can't even find the 1080p VODs and I have an HD pass...Wtf?

I see that, but are they ready NOW, or do I have to wait for Europe to watch the RE-STREAM as the FAQ states
