Why the hell would you, or anyone else on this planet, even think about reading the chat?
I watch a bunch of streams/tournaments, and day9. I opened the chat once, realized it's even worse than WoW's trade chat. So I closed it, because that's what smart people do, they don't shove their head in a pile of shit.
On topic, I liked NASL, will keep watching. Good games, good commentary. The lack of game music is indeed a problem, the biggest IMO. Better mics wouldn't hurt. Aside from that I guess a bunch of random little improvements could be done here and there but I'm not one to cry a novel while esports is growing. Good job NASL, good job incontrol and gretorp, I'm happy. GG

They were fake, bullshit, wrong from the first match.

Yes, the audio quality is pretty bad on the free stream at least, not sure why that was the case, it was just noticeably worse than other "free streams". This was especially bad when Gretorp would raise his voice, it's cool if he wants to get louder because something exciting is happening, but they need to fix the mics a bit for that to happen properly.
That being said, I think he and incontrol did a great job casting, I'm glad incontrol is being himself and not trying to play some fake "professional" persona. Video quality was also good, no problems seeing what needed to be seen. Overall quite pleased with NASL so far.

Id rather go without that

good stream, good matches

When you open up the stream, the chat is easily apparent on the right before you can maximize or use a popup. I prefer going straight to justin tv so the chat is unavoidable at least for a time. Overall, regulation over the chat needs to be done.

Just biked in to say that I'm a premium subscriber and I thought the first broadcast was great. Stream looked great, commentary was good, and games were pretty good. Yeah GSL has a cooler studio and rockin emo music and flames, but if that's how you judge a production go take some ritalin.
(I am also a very satisfied premium GSL subscriber, ever since the very first Open)
*bikes out*

That is a very good point. I saw some dude posting about incontrol being biased or something. But guess what? Everybody is biased, he's just man enough to say it, and I think that's great.

I purchased the stream, but couldnt watch all but the ending.
Thought it was very good. Some problems with battlenet lag for some players, but thats unavoidable. Bad timing with so many patches coming out today and tomorrow i guess.

Background music both in and out of the game would make a good difference.

Oh yeah, and ignore the chat. As one should expect, it is a hive of scum and villainy. Pop out the video and close that whole damned tab. Done.
It's not even relevant to the NASL itself, really. It is something else entirely.

Right, every commentator should just be cheering for their favorite players only and talking shit about about other players. Man that would be so manly.

Have you watched the GSL? Tastosis openly root for the players they like, especially foreigners.

This user was warned for this? Can you moderators stop being post nazis? I mean really? Im looking at that quote and I dont get why he would be warned. It's his opinion that it was said too loudly and is constantly annoying because it happens every game.

I missed the Artosis-Sheth games, can anyone enlighten me as to how Artosis played and how those games played out?
|
Can someone point me to the rules regarding the servers the games are played on or tell me which servers every game was played on?
|
Artosis turtled hardcore and never once even stepped foot on creep. he probably had game 1 but didnt attack after kill all of sheth's army.

What I enjoyed the most was Destiny popping in and calling people to his channel and throw some random wrong "spoiler", why so much hate? didn't get invited and now you try to do harm to it? that is just not right. NASL is trying to better e-sports give the non-Korean scene a GSL of their own. Stop being a cry-baby.
On an other note; 25k viewers though out there broadcast is a very good number, I do not know how many subscribers, however with the ads even with no subscribers it is huge just from the ads, (I also got mad at people saying how they were stopping the ads with ad-block--which I have installed but I have disabled on justin tv because I don't find their ads offensive and I don't mind supporting Justin or anyone that streams on there--by just watching a 30second ad).
Let's hope the league makes money and they can continue doing this and people keep watching it like the GSL.

Just because it say Steven Bonnell doesn't mean it is actually Destiny. Destiny is a Partner, which means in the chat his screenname will have the Pro and Star next to it.
