MKP is the biggest wild card tonight he's been so hit or miss lately taking big losses but still showing sparks of brilliance, if he isn't on top of his game against Sen he's going to be in for some trouble.

Looks a better thread compared to yesterday and hopefully it'll get updated with recommendation for each game.

TT1 > Moonglade 2:0
MC > Morrow 2:0

Predictions:

+ Show Spoiler +
MKP < Sen (0:2)
Moonglade > TT1 (1:2)
MC > Morrow (2:1)
Jinro > Anypro (2:1)

Sen has been looking very strong lately and he'll easily be able to take down MKP with a 2:0

Moonglade vs TT1 is an interesting match, which will depend on TT1s strategies. Will be play heavy gateway or gateway/colossus? If he uses any kind of stargate build Moonglade will take this easily.

MC vs Morrow... MC the zerg abuser will take this series, but not 2:0. Morrow probably has a new fresh all-inish build that will be able to take a game, MC will not die to it the last game though and heavy gateway push wins him 2:1

Jinro vs Anypro, Jinros games has been a bit sloppy lately. Hopefully he recovers from that and he should be able to take the series 2:1, with a lot of trouble. What I'm afraid of is that Jinro might be too greedy with how fast the expands, and Anypro would not mind punishing it with a 4gate, I'm sure.

If you watch GSL it makes sense that you'd want Koreans to win -- you see their personalities a lot and their faces when they win/lose. At least for me GSLWC is introducing me to some new faces. Before a few days ago I would never be able to pick out TT1 or Dimaga from a crowd. The koreans are easy to get to know, and if you don't know the foreigners you don't really want to see your favorite GSL players to get wrecked by a bunch of guys you don't even recognize.

The upside, though, is that all the foreigners are getting more exposure and fans now. And the next time they play I will recognize them.

From what I've seen of him, MC is a player that loves to craft these beautiful, perfectly timed attacks and crush his opponents with them. I feel like a player that can beat him is one that can mix it up and screw with standard timings a little bit, weakening MC's attacks (i.e. MC launches a fantastic 6 gate attack, only to be greeted with burrow roaches before he's used to seeing them).

I recall Morrow saying in an interview in the past that for training, he prefers to just focus on good general training rather than tailoring strategies to deal with a specific opponent. I hope that's not the case against MC, because if it is, I think MC's timings attacks and forcefields will dissect Morrow, and the series will be completely one-sided.

EDIT: Then again, Morrow does have the advantage of being a foreigner, so MC is less likely to know how to time attacks against a style that's likely to be a little different from standard, so I suppose Morrow does have a chance, just not a good one IMO.

Yeah, I'm interested to see a successful zergy solution to the MC timing attack.

Game 1 2-0 sen to win, im a huge sen fanboy love him to bits and he is just awesome. MKP i am a huge fanboy of also, but lately he is been mediocre

Game 2 2-0 Moonglade to win. Inside information ya know

Game 3 2-0 MC to win.. Morrow would have to push early to take down MC to be honest. His late game seems a bit mixed up, so if the game lasts longer than 15 minutes its GG morrow will lose.

Game 4 2-1 Anypro. Dno whats up with Jinro, huge fan of his, but lately I think there is some adaptation problems in his play. I feel he may win the first game, but after that I would give it to anypro, games will prob last around the 15 minute mark for anypro to win. If he lets games go longer, I would say 2-0 jinro.

I think it's likely Morrow will try to do some kind of blind hard-counter to MC or some strong all-inish play a little further in the game.. He's not expressed much confidence against Protoss and certainly not MC. Unfortunatly I think MC will be on top of his game after losing twice against foreigners in a short period of time (not the tsl).

What seemed to be the key factor with anypro taking out Morrow is that Morrow was very proactive with Overlord scouting in the midgame, but as soon as his last Overlord went in and was killed, Anypro radically changed his production facility layout (read: adding a ton of gateways) and Morrow didn't find that out in time (if at all during the game), so anypro was able to basically have his entire army replenished in very few warp cycles. I think Morrow's ZvP looked worse in that game than it actually was.

Have to think that Sen and TT1 will advance for the foreigners tonight. Wish the best for Jinro, but I'm just not quite sure.

Whoa this post is up early today. Good, such an event needs more hype. My picks

Sen>MKP: At MKP's current form, he isn't even a top 5 terran in Korea right now. Sen already beat MKP easily the first time and will do so again

TT1>Moonglade: Don't follow either of these players closely so I'm just going based off of what I saw at the Korea vs World showmatch

MC>Morrow: Poor Morrow. No explanation necessary

Jinro>Anypro: Jinro isn't confident in his TvP, but he's just straight up better than anypro.

I don't think it's weird because I'm the same. For people who mainly follow the GSL it's only natural to root for players we've seen play. That means I'm rooting for Moonglade, Jinro, and MC tonight. The only matchup I'm neutral in is MKP vs Sen since I happen to see several of Sen's games by chance during the gcpl and was impressed.
