IThe problem is there hasn't really been any publicity for the event prior to now, and there's very few details on the offline finals available. Sure, it's a £5000 prize pool, but are there going to be additional pro invites on top of the qualifiers? What is the prize distribution? It could be that everyone besides the winner ends up out of pocket from travel and hotel expenses. I fully intend to play the qualifier and I just hope that the offline final is worthwhile for the people who manage to qualify.

"It could be that everyone besides the winner ends up out of pocket from travel and hotel expenses." is a really good point, especially as you say it's not clear if there will be pro-invites etc. Will sign up for the second qualifier, and doubt I'll get through, but the lack of information is definitely off putting.

Just read OP. So this online cup will act as a Qualifier and will have no prize purse of its own, only the TOP 4 of this online cup will be given a slot in the StarCraft II tournament there and will have to fight it out amongst themselves. edit: Oh well on their internet page I found this: There will be a 2nd qualifier on Thursday with the same specifics&prize, registration will open the day after the one on monday is over. So yeah I am confused now as well.

Don't makes us look bad. This is a tournament held in the UK and yet all qualified players are from outside the UK. Get registered, get playing, get winning. There is a lot of money up for grabs here and not only that but I'm sure a lot of people will be watching so if you want to further your eSports career you know what you need to do.

I can't see any schedule on the Gadget Show Live page, but I assume the final will be on Sunday 17th April. I got myself a ticket for sunday afternoon - only £10. I'm looking forward to it, and I hope to see lots of UK Starcraft fans there

Edit: This particularly applies to people who signed up for the last qualifier with a name that was accepted then: http://www.esportsheaven.net/?page=tournament&action=view&tournament_id=671&content_id=2480 , those names will not be accepted now and you have to change your name if it doesnt have your character code in it.
