The internet cut out on half the computers I think including the one streaming. They were still having problems when I left.

For a while, there were two players on the SC2 stage, but not playing each other, really strange. Then the stream started but they couldn't use Khaldor's commentary, because the players were able to hear him, and some players played on stage, while other were sitting somewhere where they we able see the game projected on the wall, so the projector wasn't turned on either. It would seem that Copenhagen Games learned nothing from every other tournament out there, and just made all the same mistakes. In the end we were finally able to watch the games, projected on the wall behind the players on stage, but still no sound from Khaldor, or the game. The rest seemed ok, but I only came to watch SC2, and meet the players, and I have to say, that I'm really disappointed so far. I hope I get a few autographs tomorrow, and we finally get some sound. At least I got to say hallo to Khaldor, and MorroW. ![]() Just returned from the event myself, and I can echo pretty much everything in this post. Talked to a few players, admins and others, and the players I talked to was very upset about several hardware issues. Alot of the PCs (according to the players I talked to, german player Honor especially) simply didnt have enough RAM to run SC2 properly, so the admins had a hard time supplying PCs for the players..And there was lag from time to time (saw ManA lag while practicing at least). Furthermore, the spectator area was quite bad.. poles blocking view, too small of a screen to spectate the match, no sound and looong breaks between games cause of various pc related hardware issues (no ingame sound, problems with ingame spectator screens for the viewers etc.). I believe there was a venue-wide broadcasting issue aswell, but I didnt get any official words from the tech guys I talked to.. No info was given to us, the spectators, and the hours passed. TLO and Ret was playing table tennis, which was pretty fun while waiting though.. ![]() Morrow had quite a crowd spectating him laddering for a long time aswell and I spotted ManA hanging out near the bar area.. ![]() Not the best first day as a SC2 spectator, but hey, the beer was cheap and there was a lot of people there to support the players, which was awesome. I hope the next 2 days will be better.
