Britney seemed to just give up in the end. Huge trust fund and just a-moved everything into the siege tanks.

Socke missed that forcefield.

5secs delay from europe.

Lmao. The thing is that there's already been plenty of posts here stating that EU->NA is pretty much fine, while many people are obviously stating that KR-> NA is pretty bad. Don't get all bitter and sarcastic because you don't like the facts.

By plenty do you mean one? Here's a snippet from Socke's interview after winning the J.tv invitational last week (on NA server):

He’s got a good 4 gate build, I don’t know if he’s a strong player or not but he seemed to all-in a lot throughout the tournament so lets just play safe even though you’re not really able to do good 4 gate wars with the lag currently. That is what went through my mind.

If the EU-->NA lag is such that he can't even 4 gate properly, I would hardly call that "pretty much fine." It's evident from your posts that you are hugely protective of the Korean players, but stop being an idiot.

Ouch. If the EU->NA lag is that bad and the KR->NA lag is even worse, then that's pretty terrible for the KR players.

You're also neglecting to consider the time issue. This tournament is based around the SEA timezones (the admins stated as much during the first FXOpen invitational), so the Koreans are playing at a comfortable time while the EU guys have to play in the wee hours of the morning. This is obviously having an effect on their play, as Socke just blew a completely won game vs. Zenio by not reacting fast enough to the ramp.

Lastly, if the lag makes it so unplayable, and everyone has known about this since TSL last weekend, the Koreans could have simply declined their invites. No one is holding a gun to their head and forcing them to play. If they choose to compete, they have to abide by the tournament rules, which means playing on the NA server. Latency is just a side effect of that, so it's not acceptable as an excuse for losing.

I think it's fine that Koreans are in the tournament. The issue isn't about Koreans losing due to lag, my problem is that people are just blindly praising wins while determinedly ignoring the very real lag issues.

Also, I acknowledge that time is an issue, but it's not as bad as latency IMO.

But there are also people blindly disregarding these wins because of lag while ignoring the fact tht the other player deserved the win.

There is obviously lag but in a lot of these games, it is not the reason why they lost. People shouldn't use the lag as an excuse for a loss, nor should they ignore the fact tht lag is evident.

I agree, people shouldn't use lag as the prime and only reason for a loss, but I don't think anyone can deny that, if Koreans are experiencing around 600-800 ms as I believe FXOpen stated, it's hardly an even playing field at all.

Anyway I do not wish to shit up this thread anymore with my lag talk. I apologize to everyone.

I don't really know, but I think last FXOpen they had some games played on the next day due to time zones.
