While it's certainly a legitimate strategy, it seems like now that many pro players can properly execute marine micro it almost completely nullifies the baneling. I just watched Nestea lose about 50 banelings to about 20 marines and two tanks, one of which wasn't even sieged. When the best players in the world can't take a single game off of a talented terran player on their best maps... I'm genuinely concerned for the state of the game. Well, NesTea DID run his banelings single-file style past sieged tanks to catch up to marines stimming and running away. You could see their troll-faces from here while the tanks were having a field day. There are obviously things that you can do against this stuff, it's just hard as fuck. These zerg players need to play themselves out, instead of attacking sieged tanks.

Last night in the YGosu Tournament, Choya beat MVP again but this time he was just outplayed, read perfectly, countered beautifully. Perhaps Choya is better than most think. I think we learnt Choya was better than most thought when he played that series vs Jinro, silly mistake in the fifth game but he handled himself pretty well outside of that. Worth noting actually that MvP lost to Protoss (choya) and Terran (clide) in ygosu, but absolutely crushed the Zerg (Cezanne) who ended up winning the group. I'd like NesTea to get a game here...and since you seem to browsing this thread, good luck when you play Idra.

Nestea opens gas before pool and expands only after zerglings are out. MVP goes 1 rax CC. MVP also loves his early-game spam, going over 400 in-game APM for a few seconds while his first depot was building.

You do realize that there do exist more than one map and more than one strategy, right? Even if there is one situation that is completely broken, it can't necessarily be properly described with "Terra imba . lol". That would only be the case if there was a deterministic way for the beneficiary to reach that situation on every map. On the other hand, even a "balanced" match up can be utterly broken.

When I started SCII I played as terran and I felt like I took games off of better players then myself with a basic MM stim push, or a slow tank push. Now as a zerg player, I routinely feel like I lose to players much worse than myself because of cheesy crap, decent marine micro (Press T and run away) or not having any fucking units that actually attack air except for the hydra which is pretty much a joke. Playing as a Zerg player is like walking a tightrope, do it correctly and you look like a genius, however even the slightest mistake will cost you the game as well as quite of few things completely out of your control.

I guess the general jist of it is.. if you are a zerg player like me... it really FUCKS you off that when u 15 hatch you have to make a sunken + 10/12 lings to stop something that PROBLY isn't even coming but just incase it does you still have to build it... Then after terran still has 3/4 options .. expand.. tech...(to either hellions or banshee which are complete opposite responses) or time a all-in Then to top it off you can't even scout what hes guna do .. sorry for bringing balance into this thread but clearly you are not a zerg player and don't see the ACTUAL problem not theoretical

There are so many other reasons zerg is a harder race to play as, and ppl who have never played as zerg really should try it just for fun and get a diff perspective.

Nestea harasses with mutas but MVP is playing oddly passive... because he's built a fusion core. Battlecruiser out for MVP and it's again a tank/marine push but this time with a battlecruiser floating about blasting spine crawlers, overlords, and banelings. Mutas take down the first BC but there's a second one lumbering towards the tank line. MVP now pushing Nestea's third. Banelings do damage but there are still tanks and marines left and Nestea has nothing. GG!
