Anyway, Tester seems to love his DTs. He got them against Genius and almost lost. Isn't DTs a very bad idea against terran cuz they have so many detection options? :S The DTs did close to nothing this game.. One DT killed the SCV building the CC at the gold (and the DT survived there even when the army came over and scanned, hiding at the extreme south), and another DT cleared out all the SCVs at the main (several ran away) including all the ones mining gas so I'd say they did pretty well.

Woulda been great to see this play out if tester hadn't stupidly thrown it away through bad positioning. HTs were out but Foxer was microing pretty well for it, even putting the ghosts in a medivac to avoid getting feedbacked, spreading his army out etc. Coulda been quite a game still.

Sigh, if kyrix loses to thewind, im gonna flip my table.
The guy's freaking terrible.

He made a mistake, he's a great player. Stuff happens.

Yeah, I'd like to see his ZvZ now that he has Ret and Sen to practice with.

Jeeze, Tester is the most up and down player I've ever seen. In his games against Nada, he honestly looks like the most solid protoss I've ever seen, at least PvT wise. . Now he loses a game due to a rax push that he probably knew was coming (because he was against FoxeR), and loses a game due to a single mistake.
I have confidence that once he can shape up and not make so many mistakes, he will be one of, if not THE best protoss in the world right now.

Really, there are no comments to be made about balance from that game... that was one of the worst possible positions for Tester to engage on the whole map, and he had 1 control group syndrome for the entire game (evidenced by the fact that when he went to attack Foxer's scouting factory earlier in the game all of his zealots went with the stalkers)
I love Tester's play when he doesn't do stupid stuff like 1 control grouping in midgame and engaging in horrendous positions

time to see who has the better zergling / baneling micro

It was just a positioning mistake. His micro is good as well, if you saw at the watch tower, AS SOON as he saw a ghost he INSTANTLY split his army up into 3 different parts. Honestly, I wished Tester qualified for at least one other GSL so it would shut people up a bit. He played pretty stellar that last set except when he was splitting...he ended up splitting his zealots into the tower.

he is S-class, so we'll see plenty of him and he was pretty damn impressive in GSL1 - I think he's just suffering along with all the other protoss atm

No, Tester was trying to do some sort of flank involving the watchtower and it failed horribly. All his units moved in one control group, foxer's didn't. I'm all for supporting the last surviving protoss but randomly bashing on the guy who beat him (who played well) doesn't make sense.
How would having different control groups make it any better? The mistake he made was sending all those units to the tower rather than just 1 zealot.

Didn't he get that DT? It moved to the extreme south but MK's army followed it I thought.
Anyway, the first two games were nothing special but the last told us a lot about both players I think. Tester obviously deserves to be on the stage, but he wasn't the better player today.

I'd say kyrix since he gets a lot of practice with banelings.
Seriously, he probably would feel something's missing if he doesnt make banelings lol
