Are phoenixes higher attack priority for vikings than Colossi?
If so, makes more sense to hallucinate them - if Select doesn't manually fire, his units auto-target the hallucinations.

No, all combat units have the same priority. It's closest first, which phoenix will always be.

I seriously hope Select wins. I don't mind who goes against IdrA, as long as its not kiwikaki. Worst finals possible.

Without FFs, stimmed marauders can pick off colossi with alarming speed.

It is because the repercussion of losing a nexus due to a drop vs losing the dropping units is not the same.

This. They seem really effective, since the basic bio play is to keep sniping those nexuses. Those DTs are just badass, though I wonder if select shouldn't make 1 raven or so when he sees those dts.
raven would keep him safe, but they're pretty slow. its difficult to include them in constant harassment patterns, plus when the protoss gets blink they're pretty vulnerable. ravens are great support units but using them to help snipe nexus would end up costing you a lot of gas in the long run.

fav game so far. Hallucination on phoenix was brilliant, and i like the dt's to stop those multi pronged drops. I've never thought of doing that while laddering but def. gonna try it out now as those drops are tough for toss.

If SeleCT would get some Ravens for PDD's and detection he could have won that, Ghosts as well for the Emp to take away shields and energy from the sentries

lol @ ppl talking about bad gg timing when he still had 2 PFs mining to Kiwis 1 and 1 almost mined out. You kidding me?

Not to mention select had a surplus of 1000 gas.

The ghost comments are interesting. I thought you could both support reactor medivacs and tanks/Ghosts. A raven would be sweet too, but no techlab/ pretty gassy. Mn I guess he did pump out so many marauders.
Double robo seems like it would be pretty tight against terran except that it can get shut down so hard T_T. Those immies certainly carried their weight, but 1 good emp would hurt.
Mn worst comes to worst Kiwi loses and we get a patch.

Get a freaking ghost already. That was painful to watch. To the people keep complaining about MMM. What the hell do you expect? MMM is the new Tank and Vulture. Get used to it.

The thing is terran is capable of making comebacks with mules and cost effective units, while it is much harder for zerg to comeback when they are very behind if they do not have a strong economy.

Really hope Selects win against both Kiwi and Huk! Would so sweet.. He has played a ridicilous amount of games, would be so sad to go through the whole loser bracket and loose this late.

Why doesn't select get a raven. It's protoss for goodness sake. PDD, reveal ability, general awesomesauce.
One Raven is three vikings worth of Gas + the tech lab you need on the Starport so you probably lose even more vikings than that which in turn gets you owned by Colossi. If your going to get Ravens against a P going Colossi it has to be done very early bofore Colossi get out.

No immortals? What games have you been watching?

Respect to Select, I certainly enjoy what he does even if its MMM.

Yeah, there is not much left for terrans to throw at protoss (besides ghosts). And as day9 already said several times: The lategame tvp is very hard for terran, cause they is nothing you can transition into. Lategame tvp is either "you have a shitlaod of apm and do drops everywhere" or "you lose".
Sometimes its both.

its a LOT of gas for not much One immortal had 21 kills, another one had like 12 kills.
Not because theyre so strong, they were simply more in the back and hard to reach, a emp wouldnt have changed much. Were talking about 300/250 to ''maybe'' help kill 2 units.
To me ghosts are just like templars, sure they are both ''the best'' unit in PvT, but they reprensent such a big investment that you cant just get them that easily in a game where every unit counts.

This especially with how densely packed colos stalker sentry is.
