What unit combo of 5? If you're counting collosus, they were too little too late. When the P finally got 2, Maka had vikings for that. He should've gotten Collosus much sooner when Maka got EMP.

Those who say the P outplayed Maka are clearly biased. Maka had fantastic unit control and map awareness. The P had some good moves here and there, but like I said needed Collosi not storm against EMP.

To be fair, it was marauder/medivac/ghost (which he used quite well) to counter a mostly zealot/stalker/ht army for most of the match. Not a whole lot else maka could have added at that point that would be effective, and didn't have time to tech switch even if there were as low as both armies kept getting on unit counts.

True, but it probably would be wiser to destroy it and then expand instead of FEing the really open third base. He really had no way to defend that.

He dodged like 500 storms and cloak emp'd most of the templar.

He only sat in the storm after he had critical mass and full contain...

err my bad then. I only caught the last 5 minutes where he sat under 3 storms and still won.

Toss was a lot more impressive than Maka.
IMO bit better than Maka (marginally) Taking blues instead of gold hurt him, also the fact that T has PF means that gold is firmly there unless you want to auto lose.

Toss Micro was also better and harder to pull off than Makas Box stim kite.
Storm dodging is easy, anyone above gold can do that.
But Splitting HT's and avoiding EMP 90% of the time is ALOT harder to do (EMP being AoE)
Overall, toss played better but made bad decisions in terms of expansion timing/positions.
Cost him the game.
Well deserved member of TSL.

He expanded to his third, because TOP made an engineering bay at this natural. So it was either expand somewhere else, or delay the expansion for a very long time.

yeah, some good FF cuts (cutting they marauder army in half) or more immortals to counter marauders would have helped a lot.

I never play protoss, so this may be a noob question, but why doesn't toss keep a DT with his zealot army? I figure if he kept only 1 all the time, it would be about even in terms of cost against scans, and if terran ever runs out of energy, he wouldn't be able to kite as well with a DT on his trail. If he kept it away from his HTs, it would be a good way to make terran spend EMPs. I'd think it'd be effective to have 1 DT and just right-click the ghost a while before a confrontation.

I guess it would take a bit more control, but I think it could be really effective, especially if he constantly sent 1 DT at a time into terran's army just to kill the ghosts.
