If you have a relatively high number of posts, we at least know that you come to TL regularly, and can count on you to keep track of info. You might think a league with 14 people is no fun. I find a league 2th 24 people, 5 of them missing all the time, to be no fun. Go organize your own tournament, deal with the no shows, and then see if your opinion changes. OK so I ask again, since I am not allowed to sign up for this season of the league, where do I go to sign up for the next season? Perhaps by then I can find the time to go spam bumps so I can get enough posts to be accepted or at least considered.

It's not that you "aren't allowed" to sign up for this season, it's that the sign ups are already done. Since the next season, if there will be one, isn't going to start for > 26 weeks, there is no point in signing up at this time. All of your (2) posts so far have been stupid. And yes, I stand by my statement that "I don't like people with 1 post." Even if you want to go "spam bumps," it would at least guarantee that you are on TL a lot, which mean that you can be reached. I guess it would be more accurate to say that I prefer people with more posts. Logically, why would I risk the trouble of inviting you, when there is another player I've already worked with and can count on who wants to join? Don't spout BS like Karliath doesn't want people to "try to get better." I created the RISING Cups and helped form this tournament specifically to help the lower league players who don't have a place in the competitive SC2 world. Are people with less posts inherently worse? Of course not; we all started somewhere. MissioN is doing fine, isn't he? It just so happens to be that people who are newer to this website do not have the proper respect for the forums or the users. You, are a perfect example. I dearly hope that the spot I open will not given to you. In the end, however, it's not my decision. All I can say is that you really need to shape up, or else people won't want to work with you. This discussion has no further place in this thread. PM me for additional concerns.

As a senior in high school, I simply do not have enough time. Balancing my school work, activities, games, and most importantly, college applications, has proven to be extremely difficult. As I find myself losing more and more sleep, I feel that I need to drop out both for myself, and for the rest of the players in the league. I take this league extremely seriously, as I hope and expect that you all do. If I were to have participated in it, I would have prepared for every single matchup against my opponents. However, as I've stated, I simply do not have the time to do so. I think it would be unfair for the other contestants if I came into this league and "half-assed" all of my games. Sure, I could have done a variant of the 4 Gate each and every match, and probably could have won a good number of them, but I feel that that's just not right. If I were to play in this league, I would want to give it everything I had. Perhaps next season, when most of the senior troubles have been overcome, I will be able enter once again. That said, I would still like to contribute to this great idea! I'm currently taking a look at what I can do to help and better this league, but I'd just like to state that my interest has not and will not wane. Casting seems like the best thing I could do, but I still need to examine how well my computer would be able to handle it. Also, if there are any administrative duties that can use help, I am definitely available. Oh, and I'm also up for practice matches! Just because I'm not going to participate in this league doesn't mean that I'm quitting SC2 by any means. If you see me online, and feel like getting a match in, just send me a message. Perhaps you have a specific build order you want to practice, or one that you want to practice against. I can be there to help. Of course, I won't tell other players what we are practicing. ![]() Lastly, I would like to point out that TechDeft, who participated in the RISING Cup, was the first person to reply to this thread. Rtomas and momo have not responded to my confirmation notice. It saddens me to do this, but unfortunately I must stick to my word and drop them from the league. We must have reliable gamers if we are to do this, and as tl.net is our primary mode of communication, it is vital to be responsive, especially when talk of this confirmation has been in the works for days, AND a 48 hour grace period was given to respond to the PM. Saturday night, I sent out a PM to both Gabeski and PlusMinus, the first people to show interest in the league AFTER the roster was full (see the rising cup #2 sister thread to this thread for evidence), and I gave them both 24 hours to respond. I have received a confirmation from both of them, and still nothing from the other two... Though one last thing about this, I'd like to point out that perhaps life troubles have effected their ability to devote to this, which is completely understandable, and this in no way reflects the quality of these two as decent people. So without further adieu, join me in congratulating our two newest members, PlusMinus and Gabeski! PlusMinus.953(T) Gold Gabeski.640 (P) Gold Furthermore, to make the change more manageable, since they just so happen to be the same races as momo ![]() ![]() I.E., +- takes momo's spot, and gabeski takes rtomas's spot. Welcome to the league! ~DuncanIdaho

TechDeft, I'm sorry you didn't see it sooner, but signups were going on in this other thread: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=150563¤tpage=15#291 This thread was made after the line-up was finalized. However, should anyone drop out, I'll consider the people who have expressed an interest in joining, in the order in which they expressed an interest. My apologies, and better luck next go round, ~DI Edit: My bad! It seems we have an 2 openings, and you're next in line, along with Rocko! Congrats, and hopefully you get this and respond in a timely manner. ![]()
