As you've hopefully heard, the ESL Pro Series has picked up SC2 for the UK&Ireland Pro Series! This means that 16 qualified players will get to take part in in a premiership league lasting fifteen weeks. The top four players at the end of the season will qualify for the finals to get a chance at the €500 (£410~) prize pool!
Unlike the IEM qualifiers, Irish players are allowed to compete so if you've played in any of the Minis or what not, you should try it out!
Starting on the 15th of September, the first of 6 qualifiying events will start. Single elimination tournaments with standard ESL rules apply. The top two players join the 4 automatic qualifiers listed below!

- Slayer (Z) - Qualified by placing top 2 in Qualifier #2.
- Vequeth (P) - Qualified by placing top 2 in Qualifier #2.
- TarQeS (P) - Qualified by placing top 2 in Qualifier #3.
- dApollo (Z) - Qualified by placing top 2 in Qualifier #3.
- Stone (Z) - Qualified by placing top 2 in Qualifier #4.
- Gomas (T) - Qualified by placing top 2 in Qualifier #4.
- CadenZa (Z) - Qualified by placing top 2 in Qualifier #5.
- FlashDave (Z) - Qualified by placing top 2 in Qualifier #5.
- Yang (Z) - Qualified by placing top 2 in Qualifier #6.
- RazerBlader (T) - Qualified by placing top 2 in Qualifier #6.
- Drumz (T) - Qualified by winning Qualifier #7 as Azual's replacement.
When
Starting soon, the EPS will be ready to rock and roll with the 15 week rotation. All our players are in! Unknown on the first match dates, but if they're Monday-Thursday, you can bet that they'll be cast by either TotalBiscuit or, the only French/English team since WW2: Tyr and myself.

I cannot state enough how important it is to pack these qualifiers with people (and afterwards the Amateur Series), we really need the help of the community to jump start the UK SC2 community and get it up to the same size and activity of France and Germany so that we can have a bigger prize pool next season

Also do the people already qualified have t oplay in any qulaifieres, id be bummed if I lost to any of them in an early rounds when theyve already qualified.

There will be no sign up limit up until check-in starts (20 minutes before each cup), and then the cup would be limited to no more 256 players

The Masters distribution was largely influenced by Go4SC2 results, and unfortunately we haven't had many good UK players earning points there (except for DeMusliM, who moved to Germany, and his points moved with him)

Ack guys, my brother is up here for a few days, haven't seen him in almost a year and the family wants to all go out for a meal tonight. I can't really refuse that and shouldn't, so I won't be casting today's qualifier.

Approximately how many rounds does each qualifier have? I work pretty much every evening at the moment because of Freshers' Fortnight and am won't be able to stay after 9:00pm.

Last cup had 5 rounds, so you can expect the deciding match to be at around 9pm GMT or a little later.

Thats great news, Ill try enter that then, would of moved into my new house and finished the course im doing by the time the next one starts so ill actually be able to practice solo player!!!

Congrats to all the players who qualified! Looking forward to seeing the ones I haven't heard of =)
I've got all my work hours sorted out, so we should see some casting coming your way for these games! Also, check out the poll in the first posts and some other updates. I'm thinking of interviewing the two players of the first game to get some insight in to how it feels to play and I'll probably get something with the players I don't really know so we can find out a bit about them! If you want a certain person interviewed or asked certain things (you might do!), just ask.

Pureball the old guru, switching from rts to rts is his bread a butter, this guy has a s*** load of experience and i wouldnt cross him without my moma 2 bak me up. Pureball a fellow favourite to take down the gold. Yang the dark horse with only 25 1v1 games to his name knocking down 1400 rank players and taking his qualification place, this guy is our mystery phantom.

rANDY a solid performer and excels when needed, if you your unsure how good your opponent is razer then take my word on this, your gonna need a goddamn trojan horse to take this guy out.
Meepy (P) vs. Drumz (T)
Meepy, an early qualifier obviously wasting no time in slapping aside the fellow opposition. Drumz performing solidly as the very last qualifier for esl but he will need to skep up his game to even stand a chance vs the grim.meepy.
Jdanzi (P) vs. dApollo (Z)
A real mixture of opinions for this match, i will defiantly look forward to the reps best of luck to you both!
Vequeth (P) vs. Gomas (T)
Knowing very little about both these players, Vequeth qualifying in the 2nd round and Gomas in the 4th with me, i can only say that Vequeth will take no prisoners and Gomas will surely need to perform at his very best to stand any chance of victory.

That sucks really, but I think Meepy had just played too much and burned himself out. He was already talking about stopping if he didn't make the EPS and I haven't seen him online since.

The big surprise is RazerBlader taking on rANDY, a result every one of the predictions got wrong. I'll be checking out those replays as soon as I can. But that's not all: Lots of close games today with all but one being 2-1. FlashDave took a game off Ourk and super Dark Horse Yang took a game off Pureball too and we've still got Apollo vs Jdanzi to be played!

Special Poll
We're stuck trying to decide which TvZ to cast next Monday, Ourk vs Yang or Pureball vs Flashdave. We have a few games we want to do: kYem vs Razerblader (TvT), Vequeth vs Apollo (PvZ) and Slayer vs CadenZa. These are 5 cool games and it's hard for use to pick which ones so we've opened a poll! Both Terrans are the highest rated players in the tournament and two of the favourites to win. Bother played the other's opponent last week and both dropped a game. Yang is the true definition of Dark Horse. No one seems to know him and he doesn't seem to ladder, but he strolled through the qualifications and took on Pureball last week. Flashdave is almost the opposite. He came fourth in the British and Irish open in the Beta and won his Nation War games. Both series will no doubt be great but what to cast?

Oh boy oh boy, week 2 starting soon!
We're going to start off with a live cast of kYem vs RazerBlader, two of our unknowns so we have no idea what we'll see.
Following that is the opposite, two of our most famous players, Queen of Scots, CadenZa will take on our Emerald Zerg Slayer in a ZvZ between two established players, both with great ZvZ styles that often end up relying on Infestor's and perfect Fungal's to get the upperhand.
All rounded off with the Terran powerhouse Ourk, taking on the Enigma Yang in a TvZ. Yang took a game off of PureBall and is all-around one really intriguing player. No one really knows him, but it seems he's a real hidden talent.

We're going to do it on stream before all the games this week. Last week I didn't have a whole lot prepared so instead of forcing the interview, we just decided to move it back to this week. I'll be updating the prediction contest scores soon!

Don't waste any predictions on me;) As some of you already know - I'm not practising sc2 any more. The reasons are a combination of different things...
I will still play my EPS matches each week and maybe prepare some builds for them... but I don't have as much free time now, and on the 29th, rockband 3 comes out; and that will become my game of choice once again! (don't hate me!)
I might still play some other tournaments/UK LANs occasionally and I will sometimes play for fun, but I am burnt out on sc2 atm!

Okee doke, for various reasons the last few weeks haven't been cast. I tried to arrange replacements, but to no avail.
Anyway, I have fixed my PC (and my fixed, I been bought a new part) so hopefully we should be able to cast again this Monday! Looking forward to it.

Ourk has been playing fulltime protoss, rANDY has been spending some time as protoss (he was P in my EPS game with him) but I dont know if he will stick with that or not for this event.
