I thought a few of the games were fairly good level, especially for the round of 64, but this particular series was really painful to watch.

RO64 are "so so" quality wise and it won't catch up until you get to 32 and beyond.

Well considering he had a 22.22% when he still played Brood War, its not surprising he's still awful against terran.

Zergbong was awful and I guess he still is. Considering he's so old, he's probably even worse.

IEM was 16 player invitational, this is the round of 64, with varied qualifying difficulties.

Yeah, once we get to the top 8 or so the players will be ~DIMAGA/IdrA/MorroW level IMO.

Morrow, Idra, Dimaga are all waaay better than anyone who's played in this tournament. =/ They really should take part in the next GSL, this Reaper micro kind of makes me appreciate Morrow, his is really close to perfect

You expected the Zerg to win after a fail baneling bust or something? When the banelings didn't work game was already halfway over.

If losing nat hatchery twice = handling the aggression on the highground, well okay

It doesn't matter if he lost it twice. He took a lot of mech down with him, and he had the expansion to the North anyway. He did all the proper responses, as opposed to getting flustered and doing stoping stupid (Or outright ragequitting) the way most people on the ladder are doing.

So he did all the perfect responses and still got raped. I wonder why people complain, then.

He got raped from the push, not from the harass. Did you miss the attack on Terran's natural? He was able to macro enough stuff. to do a scary attack forcing the pullback/delay of his second drop. He only "got raped" after the drops on the cliff stopped.

Why do I bother, though? Zerg players can't see past their own overinflated sense of martyrdom.

killing the hatch twice certainly helps terran. or am i wrong?

He gave up two thors, four marines, a siege tank, and three medivacs for those two hatcheries. If I was on 3 bases as a zerg vs 2 base terran, I'd take that trade any day.

He gave up... what? He lost 4 marines, and he bring all thors, all siege tanks and all medivacs back... seriously...

Yeah, once we get to the top 8 or so the players will be ~DIMAGA/IdrA/MorroW level IMO.

The winners here have still been pretty terrible and those are the ones we're expecting to see in the Ro16 etc as well. Idra has been by far the most impressive player in the tournament thus far. NesTea who was supposed to be good was... eh quite bad in fact.

The Steven Hawking line reminds me of one of those artificial voice web movies featuring Artosis. I remember seeing a really funny one somewhere on TL a while back. Anyone remember that? Any idea what I'd search?

These games are terrible to watch and after the first 3 minutes you know the zerg had lost, but ZB really sucked hard at spreading creep, and his unit choices at time were suspect. Since he wasn't using tumors, he could have just transfused his queens or something at least.

He had higher chance compared to if he would play "normal" so yes I did. With that said, he should had used tumours more.

Please watch the VOD when they come out. He didn't bring anything back. He lost it all. I swear Zerg players only see what they want to see when it comes to these games. >:[
