Of course I brought my camera down to the GSL qualifiers on Saturday. In these videos:
TLO IdrA Nazgul Jinro Spunky GARIMTO Tester Cella TorcH and many, many more!
P.S. - Theres something weird with my youtube right now where I can't upload more than 2gb videos, I'll try and get that fixed so I don't have to dice stuff up like this in the future.

Videos aren't in HD
"Please subscribe so I can post longer videos"
Splitting videos into 7 min parts when youtube limit is 15 mins and unlimited for partners
Other than that - thanks.

Maybe considering reading the entire thread before posting?
These videos are always too long imo, they should be edited a bit. LIke from 5:00 'til the end there is absolutely nothing going on, why keep that? Some of the stuff is very good, but I can never watch these videos entirely 'cause I get bored halfway through. But its still better than nothing, thanks for sharing
Also, need a video response to Day[9]s Artosis bashing from GSL last night I think! For those that missed it, he basically said "As you all know Artosis is the best player in the world" and then...
Anyway, again love these vids. It's nice to get a feel of the atmosphere etc over there.
Hey I love your: "This is how real SC2 players get down in the SC2 motherland!" videos! They're tight...and it seems people kind of like you there huh?
I love this videos. I don't think they are boring because it's not just a highlight video but it shows the atmosphere. You feel like you are there, walking along with Artosis and that's pretty nice. I also don't think the quality is low but maybe I'm not as spoiled as others seem to be.
Im refreshing like crazy for the next parts. This footage is great, its amazing to get an insight to the korean gaming life you guys live over there, especially with Dario, nazgul and jinro there.
btw artosis, since you're already here: How are you going to manage casting and playing GSL at the same time? Will Tasteless cast solo when he's casting a match of you?

+1
awesome videos.
Seems like foreign players got special treatment or smth.
Really love your vids! Can't wait for the rest. Looked kinda like you might have a crush on that cute camera chick?

They don't have IDs, so they have to play in a diff area. Not sure completely how it works, but from what I understand, all Koreans have an ID similar to a social security, except they need them a lot more often than we do. I think they use them for games and such, not sure why, but yeah.
The "search for TLO" was actually pretty fun, and it gets you kind of introduced to how the tournament is physically set up, which is definitely something I wanted to see.
I am worried that TLO's good nature will be overrun by the wickedness of the company he keeps. Hopefully he can remain strong these coming weeks ahead and not let the sinful nature of Artosis and Idra consume him.
Cella got the Artosis bump! Not that he wasn't already really popular, lol.

Sinful nature of Artosis/Idra? Please explain, lol.
So we know that jinro didn't qualify, what about nazgul? He seemed like a strong player during beta but after that he... kinda dissipated from the scene. I wonder if he qualified.

Whether or not Artosis and Idra can be obnoxious as gamers, that doesn't make them bad people or not decent to kick it with.
Thus, the inevitable Idra-TLO bond will hopefully lead to Idra picking up some of the famous German efficiency and determination, while TLO can definitely get used to the Korean work ethic. I do not know many whiny Germans, and hopefully this will not change.
Congrats to those who made it! I have to admit I did not believe all the foreigners would qualify, because it is quite clear from watching the oGs, Check, and Werra players that there is still a skill gap between top Koreans and everyone else.
sucks for jinro I feel a lot of qualiifying for this tourney is luck. depends a lot who you get matched up against TLO said everyone he played sucked (might have just been being modest), but thats what happens with huge open tournies.
Great videos, thanks Artosis! It seems so relaxed there, I'm surprised there weren't more amazing players to face in the groups. I wish Jinro made it too but that's just the way it goes :\ Next time!
Torch isn't getting far with TvT like that. Make EVERYTHING off 1 base, lol. I can't believe that actually won, although I guess when you have viking advantage it doesn't really matter what you do.
@Artosis - or someone who can pass this along to him.
Can you maybe get some video of them at home practicing?? sneak peak into theyr living quarters/conditions would be amazing to see and share with the rest of the world.
Bummer for Jinro and Nazgul, but I was glad to see Torch make it. Being "unknown" is no hindrance when you are cool and well-spoken, as he seems to be. Assuming he reads these forums- Torch fighting! I hope you do well.

Once Liquid` moves into their new house and they've settled in, it's likely we will have some behind the scene footage.
thanks for the videos!!! great to see some behind the scenes action jinro got sooo unlucky. still shocked, but hopefully he can get motivated from this loss and practice even harder! TL Fighting!

Damn this stuff is highly appreciated, I love footage like this. The FPvods are simply amazing, and Cella seems like a very nice guy, so does everyone else. I wonder who Jinro played, damn too bad he dropped out.. You're my hero Artosis!

this is like a 5 min video... you can't just generalize things like that.. I mean you can, but you shouldn't.
We all used Korean Battle.net accounts so the comment about Gold for Torch is incorrect. None of us used our own accounts there. We got 'special' treatment in the fact that we had two computers out in the open...but that's just because we all had to share these two computers as they were the only ones with installations of of English clients hacked to play on Korean Battle.net.
I'm not too involved in the 'pro' scene these days but am starting to get there a bit more. I spent a lot of time with the guys there (Artosis, TLO, Tasteless, TorcH, idrA) and noticed no animosity between players. Everybody got along great (during the matches and out for drinks after).
Although after I explained how girls dig good players and jump from shitty players to good ones, my chick was all over TLO's sexy accent within seconds. Yikes.

I wouldn't say "hacked." I live in Germany and play on an English client. I just had to d/l it after I bought my game.

Well there's an English client by default for the EU servers, but I doubt there was any provided (retail) for the Korean servers. That's probably what was meant by that.

The Australian English client works in Korea doesn't it?

I believe Korea has its own server while Australia is on SEA.

Correct. It's impossible to use an English client on Korean servers...unless you're at an event run with the help of the Blizzard staff.

Yes and TorcH Was using a Microsoft Sidewinder x6 keyboard ( I use this keyboard so I noticed it immediately, number pad is removed). Siberia is cheap so that's probably why they were using it.

Artosis already mentioned the names of the known Korean players in the vid.
Loved those videos. Most of all the to TLO and Idra:"So you're both in the top sixteen, ah top 64 rather..." TLO: "Ya top 16 basically already" Idra:"Pretty much its as good as in"
I would really like to see TLO and Idra picking up each others best traits, just imagining Idra with TLOs creative gameplay or TLO with Idras insane mechanics gives me a nerdgasm.
Lets hope they both get far. And Artosis of course too, although i dont see him beating Tester as sorry as iam to say that.
Question: Are the prelims done in a single elimination format until 4 players left? Do those 4 players play to decide who is 1st, 2nd, etc. Thanks in advance, the brackets are down.
