as you can see in my previous post 박성준 tlpd-izes to a few different players, so it's not too unlikely that it's a different person with the same name in the GSL. I think it would be a big deal if july was in the gsl and we would have heard about it already.

What is this? Not even a stream ? Kinda weak you would think that they would at least put up a few streams sooner or later..

How do people not understand the concept of offline qualifier. It's not that big of a deal that it's not streamed.

I read it. Just wondering i mean wouldnt the world love to know how good you have to be to enter the GSL ? :p I mean it would be a huge commercial as well to stream at least the last few matches of the guys that will make it into the GSL. I just thought GSL would be such a huge thing that every tiny bit would be streamed to death. So i m a little disappointed. No pun or offense intended.

You do realize there are around 2000 people playing in the offline qualifiers, right? It IS huge. It's too huge to cast the early stages of it. Once we go to the Round of 64, I'm sure everything will be streamed and casted.

I will be a considerably happier person if Grrrr makes it!

Thats sick the level must be pretty high if such a great player(he is a legend in wc3) gets knocked out! Can he participate in another event or is there no way for him now to enter the GSL ? I just hope he makes it somehow in a different event

Its an open qualifier.
so you dont have to be good at all to enter the gsl, just show up and be availible to play in korea for extended periods of time. They will stream/tv broadcast the shit out of the ro64 -> finals, but imagine if they streamed EVERY SINGLE game from the first round of MLG raliegh, and then multiply that by 8.

Actually the one who beat Dayfly was jjonga, former Hite progamer. No wonder he got 2-0ed.

Yep, yep. There are going to be two more tournaments like this, which will be used to determine the "S" players from the "A" players--the really good from the pretty good. So, GARIMTO, Sir@soni, Jinro, Hannibal, and Dayfly will get an extra chance to get into the A or S codes.
It's a big tournament, so some people have easier paths than others to the Ro64. It's probably random, so it's theoretically possible that like Maka would have to face Cool in order to advance, while some people would get 3 byes and have to face two low-Diamond players to advance.

.....'Kent Cambell' is US soldier in Korea. Is he allow to do that?

I don't know much about US military regulations regarding off base activity, but I doubt the military would prohibit him from participating.
